Dragons hitting their straps just in time for us. Ospreys, although well beaten, showed huge heart & no little quality in scoring 5 tries. I appreciate that Racing may well have switched off at 40-5 but the tries still needed scoring.

The fluency of their attacking game was appreciably better than anything we have put together this season and that was without Dan Evans, Scott & Watkin. We have been warned.

The derbies are always tough but if we are serious about being contenders for the play offs then we should be beating them both comfortably.
We have not clicked yet but have the talent that should be far too good for them.

I share your dream Why but not your confidence. Last year's debacles against all 3 other regions have left too many scars.

dont see it being a distraction at all. completely different to last year where more or less the entire coaching group was going to coach a side that the players were competing to play for...in a way, this could galvanise the squad. the coach is heading to coach the best team in the world. they should honour that and make the most of it.
and on the other hand, Delaney, Whiffin, Flanagan, Cunningham are staying.

Dragons always manage to bring us down. we need to be at the races from the off with plenty of aggression in defence.
and as for our pack...Cunningham would need the pack to turn up as a unit. failure on that and it will be a long hard night again v both. not sure who Dragons will pick, but Basham, Wainwright and Griffiths isnt a bad back row which can cause problems.

Munster have turned him into a far less influential player

was reading an article in the Irish Times in the build up to the last World Cup where Tadhg gave the Scarlets the credit for allowing him to just go out and express himself.  That I believe is the difference between the Tadhg we see today and the Tadhg we all had the privilege to watch in the Scarlets jersey.

Yes he is not the huge game influencer that he was with us. Our style was looser than Munster & he won't be allowed the freedom to play what he sees.

Not sure if it reflects the injury, though Sexton has been included, but Tadgh has been omitted from Ireland’s mid season “stocktake” session.

Tadgh has broken his ankle at the weekend, that’s why he is not in the Irish squad

Yeah just seen, massive shame. I fear he’ll never be the player he was for us.

Ollie Griffiths signed new contract with Dragons. Moriarty contract up this season but being reported that he will have to take a substantial pay cut from the £450K he is currently on. Can't see him staying in Wales as plenty of English sides will pay big bucks with Exeter reportedly interested.

Of course its better business for Exeter as he would not qualify for Wales so would be available all season. I am increasingly glad we didn't sign him. Not even a fit Faletau is worth that kind of money & he is in a different league to Ross.

I can't see the Ospreys affording Tipuric with the supposed contract offers elsewhere, Griffiths could have been a quality signing for them, I wonder if they go in for Sam Lewis or maybe one of our 7s, be a shame to see one of Morgan, Davies or Macloed move, but seeing how little we see of Davies now with his recurring back problem, maybe the Scarlets can offer them all regular rugby.
