That’s bad . Yet you get clubs like Saracens churning/ turning over contracts for players like Tompkins and Exeter for Francis with what looks as the sole aim ( in cahoots with the players) of circumventing the Welsh capture rules when Welsh regions would be happy to have them move here it seems. Morally wrong to see this happening yet Young disenfranchised totally. 😡

RR I totally agree. I prefer play in Wales and play for Wales over the 60 cap rule but my first choice would be that Pivac can select whoever he wants regardless of where they play or how many caps they have. Whats happened to Priestland, Webb & Young is a farce really and allowing Francis to continue playing because of a legal technicality makes the WRU look idiotic. With the current financial uncertainty surrounding the game and talk of smaller squads due to fixture alignment the current rules will throw up even more anomalies. How many nonsense episodes will it take before the WRU cave in?

The O's takeover and then the CVC deal. Must be a linkage there.

Aled Davies has signed for Saracens so will play in the Championship next year. Says a lot when a 2nd tier team can afford to sign a Welsh international who will give up all hope of playing for Wales.

Yes, perhaps the unions having the CVC money is to prevent any third party syphoning that windfall away from where it belongs. That or the WRU are just gonna keep it.

He hasn't signed for Ealing trailfinders mind!! Plus he's obviously looking ahead, not gonna stay down there for long are they. Plus Webb coming in ahead of him then signing for Bath was farcical

Agree with you RR. Next big thing a few years ago. Shame about his injuries. Apparently he is now fit and ready. Well worth us keeping an eye on him to see how he goes in France. Get a run of games into him injury free and he could well replace Kalemafoni who at 32 must be a fairly short term acquisition unless, of course, Carwyn comes through.
