What happened to Foxy? He seemed fine after last week's game.

Team much as expected - Fonotia, then, for Foxy brings O'Brien onto the bench.

I would only take North, Tipuric and Alun Wyn from that Ospreys team to come into our team, even with us missing Rob, Shingler, Cubby, Cassiem, Foxy and Steff.
That said, I can see this being a real dogfight.

It appears Foxy had a reaction ( not to be confused by a re-occurrence) this week and the club aren’t taking any risks.
Very commendable.
We have strong alternatives, which makes the decision easier granted.

A year out of the game and huge rehab means these minor reactions are pretty common place, particularly as you get older.

I thought it might be a v tight game..but the Os losing Dan Evs and Lydiate exposes their shallow player pool.
Much as I liked the guy in his pomp, Hook is a shadow of that guy these days, and Cross is busy but not yet a starter.

Us by 15.

Missing the hugely improved Dan Evans and Lydiate and of course the excellent Scott Wiilliams are not inconsequential matters as all three are experienced mature quality pros who will be missed.

two strong side, if our achilles heel at the moment is the battle at the breakdown, their fullback can suffer against our game. Gutted foxy is out, specially after his last match, but Fonotia doing well.
the impact from the bench will be the key of our win!

This could be an outstanding game of rugby, 2 good sides, they are coming for our home record, but we will protect it with every ounce of blood sweat and tears the players can. Im just gutted I cant make it, stupid 3pm kick offs on the same day there is a full round of fixtures in the amateur leagues! I know we cant please everyone but surely this kick off time is the worst possible for us

They have gone with two sevens and King who is no slouch in the back row.

Obviously they want to slow us down there so it will be a big game for our back row.

For a codger like me, it's ideal - and the first game I'll make this season.

You have been gorging on late KOs recently so butt out!Wink

Surprised to see Cracknell only benching especially with Lydiate missing. Wil is spot on in his summing up - the Ospreys can field a good starting 15 but really struggle with a drop off in standards when a few are missing - Dan Evans, Scott & Lydiate are replaced by clearly inferior players. Our 15 looks strong & we are missing 6 1st team shoe-ins - Cubby, Steff, Foxy, Rob, Cummins & Aaron. The benefits of painstaking squad building over the past 2-3 years are showing.

All the above means jacksh.t of course when the whistle goes - if our front 5 don't find the pace & intensity from minute 1 it will be a very long afternoon. One thing which is certain no front 5 with AWJ in it is found wanting in intensity.

Good to see you can get there Aber. I am really enjoying being able to make use of my 1st season ticket.

I don't think I've ever looked forward to this fixture so much and with so much trepidation.
