Lost 40-29. Won 2 from 5 but still top of the pool!
You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.

Is it just pool winners then? I would have thought 2 semis and a final would have made sense, one of the Irish will be fuming as they haven't lost a game between them. Shame it's on the same W/E as the Leicester game.

The Irish A teams have played for years so we have to expect them to be ahead. The Scarlets team have given both Leinster & Munster decent games. Pivac remains convinced, from talking to his players, that the competition is well above the Premiership in testing these guys. I am sure the plan for future seasons will be to extend the number of games, with possibly home and away fixtures giving 14 games in total which would slot in outside the International windows.

If that's right, then the case for the competition seems unanswerable - Welsh rugby lacks depth, and this competitions apparently can improve that situation.

Would you know when and where he said this? Is it hearsay or was it a 'fromal' question put to him by a reporter or crys16 for example.
