That's a pity, assuming it is confirmed. I was surprised to see him come back too, BTW.

I'd go for Dan in that case - the forecast isn't good, so a long and accurate kicking game might be very useful.

How funny is it we are going to end up with the same weather as for last years opener against bath. Hopefully we will have learnt a few lessons from that friday night.

If Patchel is out and Dan is 10, I’m not too concerned - he’s proved himself in big games many times.

If he’s out and O’brien Is selected, then I’m flabbergasted and very concerned.

About the weather. Can't the game be re-scheduled to Sunday when the weather will be more conducive to the occasion?

I imagine the call would be made very late in the day if it is to be moved.

The weather forecast for tomorrow is far better than the Bath game last year so I don't understand the talk of postponement. Games aren't moved because the weather is better for goodness sake.

I don't think we had 60mph winds on the Bath day. Will the French be able to fly into Cardiff/ Bristol? Will people be advised not to travel, Health and Safety around the ground? Waterlogged pitch causing injury risk to highly paid players.
As you can guess I really don't fancy dragging my 75 year old body out to watch two highly skilled teams try and master the art of mud wrestling, not what I signed up for ⛈⛈
