Newcastle winning out in Toulon must be the story of the first round.

Well done to Cardiff also.

EH? - Not in the Bath I regularly work in he's not!! He is still considered a hero by most and most (in fact all) the many Bathonians I know certainly don't see him in any way as a horrible guy! Yes he has always had a certain amount of arrogance but many great players do.

Guscott may not be one of the nicest guys in the World but he sure was one of the best 13's to grace a rugby field. Not many better partnerships than Guscott and Gibbs.

Ashton is a special idiot when it comes to this... what exactly is the point of diving like that when there is no-one near?

Compare and contrast with those dives made by skilful players to twist in mid-air, and dab the ball down at the corner before they get tackled into touch.

He just made a line break and chipped ahead, too far (over the line, touched down) not a bad idea, but he should really have passed to his right.

Edinburgh stuffed Toulon who are looking very unlikely to qualify now. Lots of sides taking points off each other so far - will be some tight groups by the end.

Very sobering weekend for the Welsh regions. Nothing positive to report really. The only chink of light is the form of Tomas Williams. Cawdor has his hands full keeping that 9 jersey. Also I hope Rhys Webb joined Toulon for the money as I don't see him winning any silverware soon.

After an excellent performance against Munster we had the Welsh journos calling for Hallaholo for Wales. Well look at his performance against Glasgow lads and re-assess. He is a revolving door defensively or was it because he thought the Glasgow runners were actually teammates going the wrong way!!!! as both teams seemed to be wearing very similar shirts.

Bizarre really as you can predict the clash in advance and also Cardiff presumably had alternate kits on hand if it was only realised at short notice. It's not rocket science.
