Let's move on from last night even though it is hard to after a woeful performance. The boys need to dust themselves off for this Friday and show hunger once more. Having Ken back will make a huge difference I'm sure. This is my selection versus Ulster.
15- Leigh Halfpenny 14- Johnny McNicholl 13- Jonathan Davies 12- Hadleigh Parkes 11- Steff Evans 10- Rhys Patchell 9- Gareth Davies 8- Blade Thomson 7- Will Boyde 6- Lewis Rawlins 5- David Bulbring 4- Jake Ball 3- Werner Kruger 2- Ken Owens 1- Rob Evans Replacements 16- Ryan Elias 17- Wyn Jones 18- Simon Gardiner 19- Steve Cummins 20- Uzair Cassiem 21- Sam Hidalgo Clyne 22- Dan Jones 23- Kieran Fonotia / Tom Prydie / Paul Asquith (any of these)

I don't think we will see Blade yet; hopefully we will have Cubby & Samson back & I hope that Kennedy is fit to start at 6. Jake & Cummins are our best 2nd rows available so should start with Bulbring on the bench. Asquith for me is pushing hard to start at 12.

will struggle to beat ulster home, in my opinion. I dread to think what the scores going to be out there,in the return fixture.semi finalists last season, could be out by round 4 this season.

Bad day at the office in Glasgow... move on, but massive games coming up. Lets hope James Davies is fit to go as was mentioned last week?

As fine a player as Boyde is he has to play 7 or not at all in my eyes. A back row of Boyde, Casseim & Cubby is too lightweight when you consider how dodgy our front 5 are in power terms. I would go with Kennedy at 6 or if not fit Rawlins.

Mcnicholl on the wing for me. Fullback is not his best position, halfpenny if healthy clayton if not.

The way Mcnicholl is playing I'm not sure I'd pick him personally

Agreed, but Prydie isn't standing out either and we're not sure if Halfpenny is available. It might be Steff and Ioan Nicholas on the wings. Perhaps this is the clearest sign yet that we need Josh Adams back.

We have to go strongest available team. Even if players didn't play that well against Glasgow. We always struggle first game back from international period, I'm confident we will play well next week against Ulster and the players will be hurt and will want to put yesterday's performance right

Halfpenny, Steff & McNichol every day for me as our best back 3. No back should be judged on that Glasgow game - the blame lies firmly with the forwards. If Halfpenny not fit I would go with Clayton.
