Reading Pivac's quotes on Josh Macleod, it sounds like it would be a massive gamble to play him this weekend.
He could end up with a plate in his foot and a 12 week lay off. There's no point risking this, even if it means Ken at 8 again.

Hearing Pivac's comments don't see we have many options from last week. We know Foxy rested, Tom ineligible & Steff in 23 so team :-
Jonny, Ioan, Fonotia, Hadleigh, Asquith, Dan, Hardy Rob, Ryan, Samson, Helps, Bulbring, Kennedy, Davis, Ken. Bench : Marc Jones, Wyn, Werner, Price, Daf Hughes, SHC, Steff Hughes, Steff Evans. Absolutely no point in risking Josh. We need him to have a good run of games starting with Leinster away.

not sure if fonotia is fit or not GPR. if not then I would imagine stef on the wing and asquith into centre. who we would get on the bench then I don't know!

Pivac said the only other back row player who could come into the match day team is josh so I don’t think there’s any other options unless we play someone else out of position? Parkes to swap in if we need a sub?

Yes TRebel some light at the end of a very long dark tunnel. Think Cubby will be ready for that game too.

To give Fonotia some more recovery time and have Asquith at 12, why not experiment with Cawdor on the wing. He hasn't lost any of his pace or power, despite his recent poor scrum-half performances.

Can't see them trying that Ffidel. I would guess if Fonotia is out then Asquith to 13 and Prydie/Steff to wing. Perhaps they will pick Cawdor to cover 8 - he's not much smaller than Boyde & his heart is just as big.

I say keep the team as close to last week as possible. Tinkering hasn’t done us any favours. Even though it’s a dead rubber we need to keep momentum up.

In all seriousness I see Pivac resting both Cawdor & Foxy for these games. No point clocking up restricted gametime in meaningless fixtures.
