Should make Thomas Young’s place in the squad safe now.

Awful news for the lad and it’s the same arm. Could it be career threatening?

I think you’ll see Faletau back in Wales in a few years. Having a tough time at Bath injury wise - 29 matches since 2016? |

It was a broken arm. Not sure if he's broken the same one again but it seems likely.

What a great reflection on the Scarlets to see in the squad so many players who have come through our development system or joined us from outside Wales to go on to play for Wales! I make it 17 players excluding Rhys Patchell ! phenomenal really

I hope that many, when fit, are released to play for us. We could do with reinforcements especially for the Leinster and Benetton trips.

I would hope that a number are released to play for us - especially as they need game time. Jake patch and 1/2 surely need game time at regional level first after return from injury, whilst Wyn, Ryan and Steff have had very little game time since the start of November - and the last thing they need is to sit on the sidelines for 2 months. A release for the Leinster trip would be nice, but I suspect that we wont get any until the end of Feb - at least we have two home games then which would make any releases easier pending any wales squad injuries.

Ap sior and ynysddurfc summarise my feelings.
So many of the squad, our players at least, have either been underemployed or are still injured or need game time before they’re fit to be put in a match day 23 for the 6N. It would be a win win if Gatty loosened his player release habits. |
