He already has a pretty successful record. His style and SH opposition results can be debated as not good enough. His Lions record is not up for dispute. Sean Edwards will be saying to him, “C’mon Gatty, I’m the one that does the boring stuff in defence. You’ve got to get the other guys going forward well and in style. Send the guys who’ve not played much back to the regions and get them match fit for us”. You know it makes sense. |

17 Treviso players in the squad looks like a good time to play them away.

I have a little feeling that fast Eddie may be looking for a job around mid March. Just a feeling. Don't see any combination of that pack frightening other teams like the days of Johnson, Dallagio, Back etc. Still no quality 15 anywhere to be seen & once you keep Tuilagi quiet.......

Agreed GPR, the biggest positive in that squad is the return of Joe Launchbury who I think is a very very good player.

The biggest let off for all other teams is that Alex Goode isnt in the squad, hes been amazing for Saracens so far this season. The best 15 in the Gallagher Premiership by a country mile. Eddie Jones picking reputation over form. The same old story for Danny Cips and quite unlucky for Danny Care. I do like Dan Robson though.

We are the club giving the fourth most players to the 6 Nations (12).
We are behind Benetton (19), Glasgow (18), Leinster (16). |

Munster lock (& Scarlets legend) Tadgh Berine has been ruled out of the opening 2 rounds of the Six Nations, Connacht's Quinn Roux has been called up in his place. Scotland have called up four players to their Six Nations squad after injuries to several players including first-choice open-side flanker Hamish Watson. Edinburgh's Watson, who has started 1 our of the last 12 tests, has dropped out of the squad while he recovers from a suspected fracture to his hand. Glasgow trio Sam Johnson (concussion), Jonny Gray (shoulder) and Ryan Wilson (shoulder) will remain in camp. Uncapped back-row duo Luke Crosbie and Matt Smith, plus centre Alex Dunbar and lock Rob Harley, have joined the squad. |

Yes I did wonder of Tadgh would make it - he limped out of the Exeter game with a knock to his knee it seemed. It is quite remarkable to think that Tadgh would probably not make the Irish starting 23 against England even if fit. They have a Lion in Henderson who will probably be on the bench.
