Unfortunately couldn't make it to PYS today, or watch on tv. On reading comments it appears we got back to some form even with a depleted team. Only fleeting mentions so far on the forum but how did the players who've been under a bit of criticism go, ie Cawdor, Dinky and Hadleigh ?

In my opinion, there were 15 nominations for MOTM - does that answer your question.

A much better performance tonight , the best we have played for quite some time and great to see players like Steff really showing up well , also continuing good performances by youngsters such as Dan Davies and Josh Helps.Ken as ever was brilliant again , what a star he is!!
Well played boys , hopefully we'll continue to improve from here on. |

That’s the Scarlets we all recognise. Power, pace, skill and vision. Massive thumbs up for Dan J and Steff E.

A confidence boosting performance, no doubt. Leicester not at full strength and a shadpw of some of their great teams. Nevertheless, we should approach the remaining Pro 14 games with much more optimism. Well done.

Imo 2 man of the match performances from Ken Owens at 8 . Could he be the pragmatic answer at 8 - power and pace and just asking 🤔

Following a shocking December, January has started extremely well. 2 wins on the bounce, Ken looking comfortable at 8 (although the opposition hasn’t been of highest quality, but you can only play what’s in front of you), confidence will surely begin to return to the team.
We have players due to return to the starting team over the next month or two, players who have played little or no rugby in the past half a season, they will be like new signings. Like I said already on another thread, I’m confident that we will still finish either second or third in our conference as and qualify for next seasons champions cup as we have a great squad that we haven’t been able to select from due to a bad run of luck with injuries. |

Cawdor’s game impact depends a lot on his carrying and tenacity...in that respect he was at his best. Hardy came in and brought the speed of service. You can visibly see Dan being a step more aggressive in carrying and defence. Did well. Parkes is low on confidence, a couple of errors early on and after that he then just played percentage rugby, didn’t often challenge the line ( a strength) and by doing so shovelled ball wide too early and without attracting a defender. Not sure 6-8 weeks with Team Wales will help him in that, he just needs to play himself back in to form. He’s a class operator in a bad patch. Another notable contribution from Dan Davies ( a gem of a 7 in the making there)...if we can get him, Boyde, Cubby, Macleod, Kennedy, Rawlins, Cassiem and then in early March.. Shingler ...available consistently through the 6N...and I’m keeping Blade up my sleeve here...then we can be a real force in the that International window). Helps looks comfortable in the row. Again with Cummins to come in, Bulbring looking good and Price too, we can put out a set of decent looking rows in the 6N. Steff really did play well, and kept the attacking threat of Jonah Holmes in check most of the time. Fonotia is the best signing we’ve made by some distance, looks dangerous every time with the ball, but more than that he’s a real turnover menace and is hard to get by in defence. The optimism bunny is alive and well in Kenya this morning. Edited by Wil Chips - 13 January 2019 at 4:57am |

I don’t want to be too negative but...
That was a pretty weak Tigers side. |

Agree but we were hardly at full strength. It gives us hope when the six nations is on that we can pick up some vital wins and cement a play off place. Out of that side we lose front row plus our best 8,could he be understudy to Faletau now , Cawdor and HP don't think Stef will make squad. So most of hat side with quite a few players to come back will be available for some massive games. Edited by Why - 13 January 2019 at 7:48am |

Pretty even I felt...but it wasn’t the result as much as the resurrection of our pace, accuracy, aggressive carrying...all BEFORE we went wide. |

great to watch a game down there with a bit of pace ,hunger and determination to it,cawdors service was notably quicker last night which gave dan more time(thought he was superb) the moment in the 2nd half where steff hacked through summed up his season where the ball just wouldn't bounce into his hands thought the pack en bloc were terrific where has this been?had we played anywhere near that against racing and ulster home we would be heading to paris with a chance of qualification,on another note I think the ref must only have a portable telly at home given the amount of times he came to look at the big screen.
