Seems to gone have unnoticed on here but Wales u20s grabbed a very impressive win against the often stronger England u20s team last Friday, with a MOTM performance from Scarlets 7 Jac Morgan.

It was an amazing turn around at the end, with England 'scoring' a try to make the game safe - chalked off for crossing - then Wales going the length of the field and for once out-muscling the England defenders for the winning try - a brilliant curtain raiser to the main event.

Delighted with this victory, the english like the kiwis have tended to dominate physically at u20s more , often due to sheer size and numbers of players , but we still find a way to win, the last few minutes was pretty bonkers lol PS The son of jor-el , cai evans is looking classy at fly half too

Cai has a hell of a boot on him... I think he's tied to the Ospreys - is that right? I don't quite get how sons of famous Scarlets end up at the Library - Sam Davies being another... very odd.

Rhys Davies the loosened, ex-Scarlet, now Ospreys looks a tidy player. Hope we don't end up regretting releasing him but we usually get it pretty right with retention at this level.

You mean that boys are obliged to play for the region they live in at U-20 level? Because the distance from Swansea to Llanelli isn't exactly huge!

Only saw the 2nd half but it was a fantastic defence effort by Wales, not in a last ditch scrambling way, more of a good solid system working. England were metres from our line on a number of occasions but Wales didn’t really look vulnerable. Saw that Richard Kelly is part of the coaching team, seems to be doing a good job, one to keep an eye on I think

It's based on what school they go to, if it's in ospreys area they would go through the ospreys age grade pathway and then into the academy. If they dont get picked up or if they get dropped at all them other regions can talk to them same as halfpenny/sanjay. |
