I, for one, was very afraid that we may have seen him play for the last time. Delighted that he's fit again and ready to scurry around in his familiar fashion in the Scarlets and Wales cause. Ditto for Patch and Blade. It'd be great to have them all back

Hmmm and now Halfpenny's release back to us for our game against Benetton. Suspicious indeed....
That's how conspiracy theories work right?

I really hope Leigh can make a full return to rugby, but head injuries should not be taken lightly.

Halfpenny has never been released by Wales. He was made available to the Scarlets last weekend, but had some small challenges when training with us and it was decided not to pick him. Kudos to the Scarlets medical team.He hadnât stopped training in the whole period however.
Conspiracy theories are, in my view, frankly, pretty absurd, and extremely un-helpful too. It also shows a significant and imperfect understanding of both concussion per se, and the associated HIA protocols. Edited by Wil Chips - 19 February 2019 at 4:44am |

Player welfare must come first for sure and personally i would not have wanted him to travel over to Italy for say, 25 minutes off the bench but given him similar game time with the RFC or other feeder club to see how Leigh got on in a live game. Big decisions for the WRU this week on his inclusion or not. Perhaps he will be omitted and released for the Cheetahs on Sunday which seems better option and a cautious way forward? There is still big games with Ireland and France to come.

After the spell that Halfers has had out due to concussion, how on earth can the Welsh coaching staff even consider him for the England game......it's bonkers! He's had no game time since November, and was even pulled last minute last weekend against Treviso.
If anything, and if Leigh is ready, Wales should release him for our game on Sunday. We still have Ireland and Scotland left to play after this weekend, so it must be a better option to give Leigh game time at regional level before throwing him straight back in to one of the biggest 6 Nations games to date this season.

Exactly IF he is 100% then he should be playing for us against cheetahs and munster to get some game time before even being considered any game time at international level |

It's probably just part of the mind games being played between the coaches, making Eddie Jones adjust his training routine in case he's playing. Unfortunately he'll know that he's not playing by 11:05 tomorrow.
