My mistake but I’d suggest 1,2 and 3 would have qualified to get to the finals.

In accordance with a decision of the EPCR Board comprising the nine unions, federations and league bodies, the 20th place in the Heineken Champions Cup will be determined as follows:

i) Heineken Champions Cup winner, if not already qualified
ii) Challenge Cup winner, if not already qualified
iii) Challenge Cup losing finalist, if not already qualified
iv) Play-off match between the losing Challenge Cup semi-finalists, if not already qualified
v) Highest ranked non-qualified club by virtue of league position from the same league as the Heineken Champions Cup winner

For all our failings this season I don't agree with you that this squad could not compete. Two of our best performances this season have come against Leinster. Our win at home was full of quality rugby from both teams & without a doubt we deserved to win in Dublin. We have the players, when fit, to compete. It remains to be seen whether Blade can stay fit & solve our No 8 issue and the impact that Lousi makes. We will need a lot of things to go our way - Aaron/Cubby/ Patchell back to their bests; much less injury issues; one of our young wingers to break through; Jake to have a fit season & Steff to resolve his undoubted issues.

A lot of wishes I know but nothing which is not doable and with the benefit for all players of clean slates with a fresh and energised coaching team.

And that’s the thing, we basically have to depend on going a whole season with no injuries which would take a miracle. Competition winners are built on squads.

I'm not saying he would have started but Fonotia will be a miss as he has impressed me this season.

If the props are out do not underestimate Phil Price and Werner Kruger probably been our best TH this season.
Samson is a significantly stronger scrummager though although I agree Kruger is better around the park. Going to be a long afternoon for him against Nicky Smith whose developed into a very good scrummager.
Before kruger joined us he played loose head. With  our troubles at moment  and if Lee  passes, could the front row  be Kruger, Owens , Lee

No he was a tight-head in South Africa.

No he was a tight-head in South Africa.

Confused now then

Scarlets boss Wayne Pivac expressed his delight after capturing the 31-year-old's signature: "We're pleased to announce that Werner will join us ahead of the forthcoming 2016-17 season.

"He will further strengthen us at the set piece and will bring vast experience having played both sides of the scrum.

For the first few years of his career teams usually only had one prop on the bench. He might have had to fill in on the left side now and again, but he’s a specialist tighthead.

I guess they’re fitness testing the doubts today as the RFC team isn’t being named until 9pm.

We have had poo luck with injuries in the pack all season but in adversity true men stand up. Time for the men to rise to the occasion play fast and spread the ball wide and tear the Ospreys apart.
Let the RFC show us the way tomorrow night and make it a Scarlets weekend.
She asks why i still can't answer. I guess its in the blood.
