Surprised at James Davies going and no Rob Evans. Any player not going is a bonus for us.

Big surprise with Rob not going & Cubby going, Samson looks a shadow of his former self.

No Rob Evans? Thats the biggest shock for me? Samson needs to get back to his best. Didnt expect to see Cubby and great shame Scott Williams has been left out.

fantastic video...RWC is a long tournament and injuries play their part.
Surprised but not upset about Rob and Samsons exclusion, they are ready for play but lack of game time at high level, yesterday was the last confirm for Gatland, but he had his choice after England win.
Worry for the boys to miss this important appointment, but as first row they are young and surely for the next WC they will be still in play for go...but as I ve said, in the world cup unfortunately all can happen

Samson seems the shadow of his former self what over last 19 months so not surprised . Rob has been injured and seemed rusty and not very dynamic so not surprised but Cubby is a big shock as he had not shone at all in the tests. Good luck to him though

Sorry for Scott Williams too although coming back from long injury was very untimely for him . I would have taken him

Cubby proved his worth against Argentina with two back to back man of the match performances, and having looked back at yesterday's match he was tackling everything that came his way. Wales are in a physical group and Moriarty was out of the match yesterday so that might have played a part in Cubby going.

The biggest call for me is only tacking 5 props. And I'm not sure exactly what Smith has done to get him on the plane.

I feel for Samson and Rob. No doubt they both will be out to show their worth start of the season with the Scarlets. I also feel for Staff Evans as things have simply not gone his way the past year and yesterday he had to deal with loads of bad ball coming his way.

Shocked Rob Evans has missed out. Steff hasn’t had an opportunity to shine for either scarlet or wales but Josh Adams is a far more complete winger and Amos can play anywhere so it was a tough call but probably the right one.

Pretty sure that Gats will just explain that Samson, Scott and Lee had injuries that restricted their full participation in the camps / build up.
Along the way that was the reason for investing more in Carre, Dillon and Watkin.

Fair enough really. It’s Gatland’s trademark to stick with a predetermined selection based on full buildup.
