Wales have picked the same starting line-up v France as played v Georgia and Australia.

Carre has (deservedly, IMO) got a place on the bench in front of Smith - he certainly made an impact v Uruguay. Beard on the bench in place of Shingler - no surprise as he provides more weight and height.

Wales: L Williams; North, Jonathan Davies, Parkes, Adams; Biggar, G Davies; Wyn Jones, Owens, Francis, Ball, Alun Wyn Jones (capt), Wainwright, Navidi, Tipuric.

Replacements: E Dee, Carre, D Lewis, Beard, Moriarty, T Williams, Patchell, Watkin.

I think that was the team most of us would have predicted. Halfpenny very unlucky not to make 23 but with both centres carrying knocks Watkin is needed. Carre is a very interesting selection. He is clearly impressing the coaches and Smith's star is on the wane at the moment. Ryan Elias is pushing Dee all the way for that bench spot.

Delighted everyone is passed fit for this cataclysmic clash ...Obviously there are a load of niggles and lets hope none of them worsen during the match. Especially Biggars head injury. But at this stage of the competition to have the whole squad available is a huge plus, most of them bar Beard are match hardened too. Foxy parkes north biggar all back and Beard on the bench. In addition we have seen crucial back up players like patchell tomos, Carre go well and Moriarty has reacted well to being dropped to the bench. The fact hapenny cant make the 23 is incredible.

France have made five changes from the side that defeated Tonga. The starting side consists of 14 players from their opening win against Argentina with the only change being lock Bernard Le Roux starting instead of Arthur Iturria.

Coach Jacques Brunel side shows six changes from the team that lost 24-19 to Wales in the Six Nations in February.

Full-back Maxime Medard is also the only survivor from the French team which beat Wales in the 2011 World Cup semi-final in Auckland.

France: Medard; Penaud, Vakatawa, Fickou, Huget; Ntamack, Dupont; Poirot, Guirado (capt), Slimani, Le Roux, Vahaamahina, Lauret, Ollivon, Alldritt.

Replacements: Chat, Baille, Setiano, Gabrillagues, Picamoles, Serin, Lopez, Rattez.

France questioning Biggar's selection after 2 head knocks. That's the same France that pulled an HIA scam against Wales a couple of 6Ns ago. Liberté, égalité, fraternité - mais pas d'integrité. Shocked
