Lots of internationals in that Benetton team, and a big backrow.
This’ll probably be a tough one.

Think we need to move them around the park and tire them out.

Looks like rather deft rotation by the coach, especially of the younger players. Particularly like the look of that back row - Kennedy, McLeod, Thomson - expect major thrust from them. Plenty to come from the bench from 55' onwards. Confident of a win if not the full five points.

That's a good starting 15 for us and to have 5 internationals on the bench, says a lot about the quality of our squad. To have 4 international forwards to come on in the second half is huge.

Benetton presumably have quite a few internationals back (sorry, I don't know the Italian squad well enough to say how many) and they beat Edinburgh last week - and we all know how things went up there... so, can't feel too bullish about this one.
But... it's a solid team, with some interesting rotation - Cassiem and Fonotia could give us some important go-forward off the bench, and it's good to see Blade back as a starter... it'll be interesting to see how much game time Lamb gets, too, and how he goes. It's very good to see Asquith back, as we feared he'd broken his jaw a couple of weeks ago. It'll be the usual story, I expect - we'll win if we get enough ball, but won't if we don't.

Funnily enough, Glasgow, the better of the two, we have the best record in league of beating them on their own soil. Its a home game, our home record on the whole is a strong one.

He was on interview about this several months ago saying he would play for Wales if selected. I suppose the formal part is the documentation submittance to World Rugby that he has been here for 3 years.

Another excellent selection by Brad and the team. Our new found optimism under his leadership really is a breath of fresh air. I particularly the selection of Baldwin, Asquith and Taylor. Players need to know that if they play well they will be rewarded - it also keeps those who've lost out on their toes, but we've also managed to keep a number of players starting to give some continuity.
Interesting to see that Rob yet again is on the bench - does anyone know why this is? Cassiem may possibly feel a little hard done by, but a rest this week will do him no harm before the european games. Might be that we play both him and Blade in the cup so this is just to give Blade some time on the park in our colours. I enjoyed Fonotia's performances at times last year, but like Johnny he at times threw the odd pass with more risk than certainty associated with it so I'm not surprised to the thus far (this season) excellent Asquith return in his place. Targets 1) Get our defence going early, we were slow to start vs Edinburgh and I'd like the line speed to be as good as it was in the Glasgow away game. 2) Let's get stuck into them at the breakdown to try and get some ball and field position from resulting penalties. 3) The continued variation in our lineout play, fooling the oposition with shortened line but driving and then the off the top ball to Steff worked well last week. 4) Continue our varied attack with the kick pass - let's try get young Baldwin on the ball early doors as they wont have seen much of him. Ymlaen!

Not convinced about Baldwin on the wing ,he's a promising young centre. Are all our wingers injured.? I would guess James, Conbeer and Nicholas are quicker and more specialist at wing.
