He was soudning ever so slightly ratty with starmers persistence earlier. There was a a really tricky argument over whether govt advice stated early in the pandemic, the govt stated then “It remains very unlikely that people receiving care in a care home or the community will become infected.” Bojo also inferred that the release of patients from hospitals to care homes would need to be signed off by doctors. Ministers were asked at the 5pm briefing if the pm was now deflecting blame onto doctors
several reports in the telegraph suggest the govt put pressure on hospitals to release patients to care homes. barely mentioned on bbc news though? Also several articles stating doctors are under reporting covid deaths in care homes. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/04/24/care-homes-ordered-take-patients-suspected-coronavirus-nhs-hospitals/
I hope starmer badgers boris and the whole lot of them from here to eternity , to uncover the care homes disaster and expose why we have the worst death rates in the world. Edited by roy munster - 20 May 2020 at 10:27pm |

As far as I know it's still not compulsory to test doctors and hospital workers for the virus, and if this is so, then it's not surprising that uninfected patients can actually be infected while at hospital being treated for some other illness /injury. Worse still they could come out and start a new round of infections in the wider community.

I'd like to see questions from the media move away from 'gotcha' to giving the guys on the podium something tangible to answer...
-PPE mid/long term--how is the Supply Chain going to support the need? -IOW app...update -Anti body tests in Europe have been seen and assessed...what's your views? -Do you prefer an out and out openside at 7, or are you favoring more of an utility back rower ? The knives are quite rightly out for cummins with details emerging of him breaking lockdown to drive nearly 300 miles to stay with his elderly parents when he had virus symptoms, another case of them and us again but what really strikes me is that the man who said in a meeting that it didn't matter if pensioners died was prepared to put his own parents at risk of infection, such a caring soul.

Hes such an aggressive bloke isnt he?There is no way he can justify this when no one else was allowed to do this? He was arguing with the press on his doorstep , mind you he was right to point out they were not socially distancing at all

Weekly deaths have fallen to 2200, down from 5000 deaths 4 weeks ago.
A tragedy, but at least the number of deaths are falling at the moment.

Wales and North East England higher cases per population. We can blame Cummings for the North East but a bit strange Wales is higher.

I would have thought that the well heeled Cummings family, both working, would have had a Nanny in the house to look after the four year old. If they didn't I'm sure they could have got a top one from an agency to avoid them spreading the virus to the North East. Anyway shouldn't Cummings have stayed in number 10 and self isolated as soon as Boris caught it, instead of running off and taking it back to his own family.? Reckless and self serving.

It's now getting worse.
It appears he travelled to Durham on two separate occasions, and was seen out and about at local beauty spots!!! |
