I think Beirne's try against Bath is hard to beat in terms of occasion and team quality. One of the startling things about it is that when you analyse it apart from Watson's miss on Beirne Bath defended the move by the book - they were just beaten by a team whose sole aim was to attack, keep the ball moving and support teammates. Just as many of the tries scored in that wonderful finale to our title in 2017 opposition were not allowed to stop the momentum.

Looking back at the Munster final it is amazing how many support runners were on hand for many of the tries - we even had too many on hand when Cubby missed Cawdor with that pass. I have been a harsh critic of Pivac/Stevo for their final season in charge but for that 2/3 months we were the best team in Europe by a mile & for that I will be eternally thankful.

Nathan Thomas try in Toulouse will always be remembered by myself. In recent years Mark Jones in London Irish when we played them in the season we won six of the group games. His try in Gloucester when we just missed out in the epic group game. Laurence Delaney scoring in the 88 Cup Final and Simon Davies in the cup final against Pontypool are two I remember well.

johnny griffs try against cardiff in the 85 cup final wasnt a classic but it was crucial in winning that game as was gary pearce drop goal
moonys cup final try was another great moment
ieuan always seemed to score in the cup finals id have to say his try against neath after 40 seconds knocking the stuffing out of neef lol...he did the same to swansea a few years later
More recently that wonder kid on the wing ryan conbeer scored a scorcher from 70 meters against ulster I think

Barry Davies' try from 1:38 here is absolutely class. Iconic try from an epic player.

Watching the history of scarlets theres one epic try against south africa in the 60s,
that seems to go through 15 pairs of hands twice and finished off by alun richards
in the right corner pwll end https://youtu.be/c4NkiLu_kwg?t=1374- 23 minutes in

Theres also majestic barry john try where he seems to ghost past a dozen australians in great victory in the 60s

We know ian the spaceman jones cup final spectacular but what other forgotten gems are there?

Can we post out favourite tries with links to video clips of the try please?

Roy
The game you note with Alun Richards scoring was Jan 20 1970...was a young kid with grandfather and father on the scoreboard end of the ground and just managed to see the try as so many people crammed in the ground, Tanner Bank was heaving early on

If its trys ...there were some massive score in the Floodlight Alliance games at Stradey mid week ...belters of games. Didnt bother with penalty kicks ... prelude to our great run in the Cup

Conbeer got real star quality about him. Just his defence seems so bad at the moment. Hope the scarlets don’t let him go.

That would be great.  Andy hill scoring five v aberavon and three v Newport in late 78 were immense but then we had so many wonderful players at that time , the list would literally be endless

Alan Richards try v South Africa in 1970, was spectacular, scored against an international side, virtually length of the field.
Be careful when you pick up the stick.........IT MAY BE THE WRONG END!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, a few for me are:
Bergiers try v New Zealand in '72
Johnny Griff try v Cardiff in '85 final
Ieuan try v Neath in '88 final
Spaceman v Poola in '91 final
Ieuan try v Oz in '91
Madden v Ebbw Vale in '98 final
Cardy try v Cardiff in '04 winning game
Nathan Thomas v Toulouse in '07
Priestland try v Perpignan in '10
MacLeod try v Ospreys in '17
Sanjay try v Munster in final in '17
Beirne try v Bath in '18

... and all the ones I have forgotten

There was also a try in the Town End/Tanner Bank corner by Moon v Ponty in early 2000 something on a sunny day at Stradey. A great game, livened up by the attending Ponty fans to be fair. What year was that and anyone got some footage?
