A couple of days ago the Scarlets signed 4 local players to add to the Academy -
a backrower, an outside half, a centre and a full back.

https://www.scarlets.wales/article/scarlets-sign-up-four-home-grown-talents-for-academy/

Anyone seen any of these young men playing and able to add something to the web-site's information?

I think we should congratulate the clubs who brought them on and help develop them, without those clubs they may have gone to play something else.

The Scarlets role now is to turn them into professional rugby players.

By the way the No 8 is actually 6 or 7, and his brother is also in one of the academy age group, as a prop.

Good luck to them all.

I believe that 2 of the lads go to Ysgol Maes y Gwendraeth and play for Tumble. Well done to both the school and club.
Only one team plays in red. (Sorry, Scarlet)

Rugby is still thriving in Y Tymbl , we like anyone else have had hard times but at the moment weโ€™ve got some strong junior teams for boys and girls and we are doing well in the league .
Canโ€™t forget to mention Piod Pinc as well , our womenโ€™s team which has become very popular with the ladies of the Gwendraeth
