That’s extremely sad. Unfortunately, life’s like that. Even if you’re a force for good, you’re not immune.

He fought his illness with such energy and positivity.

One thing’s for sure, many people have met and heard him, raised a smile or more, and been delighted to have done so.

RIP Tommo

This is really sad news.

We happened to share a sporting upbringing in West Wales.

He was a very gifted footballer ( goalkeeper) in his day, and we played against each other for the local rivals of Newcastle Emlyn and Maesglas a few times.

He was a larger than life character in those days too, clearly cut out for a career in broadcasting and media.

Suffered terribly with significant health issues over the last 15 years, never let it him hold him back in any way. Always came out swinging.

Thoughts go out to his loves ones.

Cysga yn dawel bachgen.

So sad and totally unexpected. Tommo was on Social media only yesterday showing his harvest of Cockles he had extracted in the Burry Estuary and excitingly promoting his new Welsh radio show for Carmarthenshire and Pembroke  . This on top of the loss of BBC Wales presenter Chris Needes has been a very sad week for Welsh radio and for us, a huge loss to the Scarlets family. Thoughts with his young family.

deepest condolences to all his family especially his wife Donna and son Cian. absolutely devastating news, he had been through a lot with his kidney replacement and seemed to be doing so so well.
always approachable and a lovely bubbly manner, he will be sadly missed by all of us scarlets and the area in general, far far too young.

Once a Scarlet, always a Scarlet!
