Now he has picked his side for Friday, surely some players who are woefully short of game time can be released back to the regions!!

The dragons cocked up any chance of player release when 9 of the squad tested positive.
If they had stayed clear i think some would have been released last week and even more this week to make sure they are having game time. WRU can’t risk someone going into an environment where the whole squad and potential fixtures are put at risk.

Something does not add up with the Dragons Covid situation . The South Wales Argus reports in a morning they have a fully fit squad for the Connacht game last weekend, then all over sudden there are 9 people with Covid . The Ospreys had 3 players with Covid, but there games are been played . We would not have any players released in my opinion, even without the above .

Hardy and Jonny Williams should be starting for us at the weekend. But can't see them being released.

Not a good idea having last minute release. They would have needed a week training withour squad to be of any use to us. q

Wouldn't necessarily be last minute, as long as they could get one or even two sessions down here before the game. Hardy and Williams badly need some game time - that's the only way they'll improve as players and show the Welsh coaches what they're capable of. And with due respect, they both walk into the current Scarlets XV. |

We won't be having any. It's been said a few times. What we need and what we get are two completely different things. The squad we have at the moment (without the internationals) are the ones we have for more or less the season. We may see them for one or two games in December. Possibly January. But then it's 6N training camps.
I can only hope that they decide to move the 6N to the summer so we can have a 2021 with the internationals.

They do, I genuinely think their 2nd team could win the Pro 14!

this is a total mess, hardy and Williams haven't played a minutes rugby since their call up
there are other cases at other regions holmes, smith, dee to name a few who haven't had any rugby since the French game weekend Covid doesn't seem to stop other nations releasing fringe players back to their sides

You wonder why rugby isn't that popular. Nothing to do with the sport, but when star players play a handful of games a year for the regional teams it doesn't exactly encourage new fans.

It's definitely not something you see in any other professional sport.
