Agreed, the more I watch him the more I think he is just a destructive blind side. He just doesn't look to have the raw power to be the carrier we need.

Completely disagree with this he's proven time and time again that he's an effective ball carrier. He'd be a terrific signing for us at 6.

He was ineffective on Saturday and looked out of his depth. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong on Saturday. If he plays like that against England they'll destroy him.

At 6 absolutely I agree, but not at 8 with our current personnel in the back row. We need a huge carrier like Nick Williams, Vunipola, Strauss etc.

Thought he was very dynamic when he first came on the scene but not so sure the other day , but if faletau is fit I would pick him on Saturday , move Moriarty to 6 and warburton to 7 and brring tipuric on when the game opens up.
Also agree about switching Liam and Halfpenny as Liam is better at 15 , he's not so good on the wing , in fact Steff Evans has been better on the wing this year, let's hope north is fit and that they don't bring Cuthbert back if he isnt

Did he look out of his depth in ther Autumn and in NZ when he was outstanding.

Moriarty is a 6 not an 8 and that has to be taken into consideration

Agree 100% but he offers a physical presence that we lack

I think we have to accept that these huge carrying no.8's we all crave are not manufactured in great quantities out west and to buy them in may be beyond our budget. I think Moriarty would be a fine addition to the squad and would give us some good carries. Would make a decent P12 no.8 and would suit a mobile game if that's where we're heading with Pivac. Not sure if he'd make a good ERC no.8 though?
I've seen the truth ... and I don't understand it!

If we are to step up it's a carrying 8 that we really need, who can pick up from the back of a scrum, and either burst through or pull in defenders to make space for others. We already have a very good options at 6 in Aaron Shingler, Beirne, Rawlins, Tom Phillips and Macleod. We also have several options at 7. Barclay continues to be a great servant but he is not a carrying 8 and that's what I think we need, particularly in the latter stages of a game when we want to finish off sides or go for bonus points.

Are any of them in Moriarty's class? Bearing in mind Moriarty is a starting 6 at test level

I don't think he's a huge step up from Shingler who also contributes a great deal in the lineout, and is available during the International season.  Where Moirarty would be a big step up is probably in cost, especially if we had to buy out his contract.

Lol

Foxy had a superb all round game, he was quality all over, running back kick offs, clearing with his left peg, hitting rucks, suporting runners, running good angles and tackling hard etc  as Ive said before rumours of his demise have been grossly exaggerated.
but a player like that can only shine with some decent ball.....wales missed ball carriers and work horses like faletau and charteris, hopefully both will come in to the starting side. Id also bring in rob evans and sam davies ...owen williams may replace an injured biggar on the bench and Id replace doctor bob with either steff evans or cuthbert , both offer pace and an option on the wings. especially if north goes down. given quick ball foxy and scott can do them some serious damage

Foxy
- 80m run with ball in hand (more than the other 3 starting centres combined).
- 2 Clean breaks (Only Sanj had more, with 3).
- 5 Defenders beaten (Most of either side).
- No missed tackles.
- One try and one try assist.

So why isn't Shingler starting for Wales then?
