Two more South African sides are set to join the Pro 14 from 2019/20, with a further side to join the following season.

It's understood that the Natal Sharks are set to follow the Cheetahs & Kings by joining the league in 2019/20 with the Lions and the Stormers the most likely to follow suit, though which of those two would join first is unclear.

Rumblings of an American conference being lined up for the Super Rugby competition too.

If the Sharks join it will be after 2020 when the Super Rugby deal runs out

16 teams in a competition is an easier number to work with, but I would have preferred Heidelberger RK from Germany.
