I'm not sure it would send the right messages to the players picked in the 23 BUT there is always a pecking order and I'd like to see Scott at least get into the squad

At least we've escaped from today without any casualties. At first sight anyway.

Would be great to have them but they would do more harm than good probably.
They ain't trained at all with scarlets since when!? (apart from Samson). |

Agreed about Samson. I thought he deserved to get a cap with a cameo this afternoon, but being he didn't it would be great to get him on the bench tomorrow - after all he has been involved with the Scarlets over the last few weeks, unlike the other Wales squad Scarlets and I enjoyed his second half appearance last weekend......

Perhaps in hindsight Easterby could have included a few A N Others in his 23 man squad.
Or perhaps there will be a few unexplained injuries tomorrow. Would be good to think that Gatland had us in mind by not using these 3 players today !

Out of interest - when was the last time Wales didn't sub their TH prop during a game?

Good point but leave them have a break our squad strength depth will see us through and sends out the right signals to the rest of the players that they are just as important as the Welsh squad players.

I would definately put Scott on the bench for Reynolds, and also put Samson instead of Shaun Hopkins, as Deacs can cover loose head.
Those guys know the pecking order and its about getting points and wins.

That's a poor assessment sorry. How many players picked for a national team day 1 play for their club day 2?

Part of the deal - if you're involved in the International squad, you're involved in the squad.
It's part of a pro's responsibility to be a professional on the bench as well and on another day with injuries etc they would have played. It's just life. What is ridiculous is the overlap of the Rabo and AIs, which then happens to be for the top two sides this season, but I think others may have covered this topic before....
