Thanks to all who were there for the reports. From also reading the report of the game it appears that Josh McLoud had a good first half. How did Kennedy go and what about Casseim 2nd half? Am I right in thinking that Hidalgo-Clyne was very sharp 2nd half and used his very clever kicking game to good effect.?
SHC could well be one of our best signings for years which is saying something. He has the kicking ability which our stable of 9's haven't really possessed. Also I am so pleased for Dan Davis - I have followed this Llandeilo boys career for a number of years mainly because he was local and he continues to fulfill his promise. Cubby & Boyde have some competition & very importantly Dan has some wonderful role models to follow. I was really expecting a bit of a hammering yesterday to be honest considering how many actual first 23 players who were on show from both sides. The result & from what I have read the performance surpassed my expectations; that & the arrival of my season ticket has got me well & truly buzzing for the start of the season.

Kennedy very impressive. Can't read too much into one game of course, but did not look out of place against a very strong Bristol side

One thing that I noticed about Brizzle was the amount they're clearly spending on backroom. Gareth Delve, John Muldoon, Jonathan Thomas all former pro forwards hanging about, looking bored during the warm up

Really impressed with SHC in the 2nd half and he nailed the kick in poor conditions

Simon gardiner was injured too. Same shoulder he’s done before apparently. SHC nailed two conversions off his left peg in windy conditions 👍
Mc Cloud did a lot first half. Ball was steady, finding his feet again. |

A very enjoyable match with decent attacking and running rugby considering the weather conditions. It was great to see Jake back and he did very well. I was particularly impressed with our 7 (thought it was Ed Kennedy but maybe I'm wrong) with some great carrying and giving us some good go forward. Both scrum halfs did well especially SHC using his great vision and fantastic kicks off the tee. Both the new South Africans went very well, I was surprised how big and physical Cassium is, he's a beast! But Clayton was the star man on the field he was very busy and looking for gaps and took his scoring opportunities very well. Exciting times to come and I can't wait for the season to begin!
