Sometimes people put others first.

We’ve been really responsible in not playing folk that are fitness doubts.

Players recognise this and it helps with us attracting players.

It’s the long game.

Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesnt.

Last night, it bit us on the backside.

That’s how the long game goes, sometimes.

I understand the long game sentiment, but saw no virtue in putting Ken, Cawdor and Rob on the bench. None.

We are gambling on other teams losing matches for us to qualify for Europe Tier 1....and as we saw when Leinster put a 3rd team out v Edinburgh, the form book isn’t a banker.

We actually need Edinburgh to beat Munster in Europe next weekend so they have to review their selections for the run in...otherwise they will come to us, Mr Barclay et al, fully loaded.

Right now they are favourites ( not firm ) to beat us in 2 weeks...

This will draw howls of derision from those that still think we will beat teams we habitually did beat over the last 2 seasons.

I agree with you Wil. There was absolutely no logic in not selecting every fit International to start on Friday. Edinburgh will certainly fancy their chances in two weeks and win/lose against Munster next weekend I don't see a Cockers team turning up and playing like we did first half on Friday.

If they dont come top 3 in 6n then they are in for a shock, cos it wont be as supportive and patient as Scarlets fans.

There is no 3 yr project with Welsh fans. Try resting players for massive away games with Wales.

really not happy with the poor management of our form this season. It seems our worst performances have come when we have a decent available 15. and dont cowing pick them!!!!

It should have been all in, " right bois, job and knock, get the job done and then your shift is over, you can come off early".

even at 17-0 it should have been empty the bench time. To wait and stand by and watch us concede 38 was dreadful management. Then forcing Cawdor and Ken to risk themselves flogging a dead horse. They have just undone all the confidence I have built up in them over last 3 yrs.

Part of me doesnt want to make playoffs cos we will get shamed.

That doesnt excuse not changing things at 17-0 when it was savable.

Dont get me wrong the players that were picked have a big question mark over themselves now. Its not just the coaches fault. The players let the coaches and themselves down in that 1st half.

Most of Cardiffs tries came off 1st phase.

I would love us to go all out and get Shaun Edwards.

Too many 30 point against games for us this season. not good. We also attack very loosely which makes transition difficult.

Our organisation is poor, speed and intensity is non existant.

The amount of times you can watch for 5 seconds as oppo are attempting a jackal and we have players just standing there watching it, giving the ref no other picture than to ping us. Ruck leaners everywhere. Hiding most of the game.

We carrying Cassiem when it comes to breakdowns. He doesnt want to know. He is also being coached to hit wide chanells and he hasnt the ability. He is a poor 6 at best imo.

Our recruitment of overseas players last season was pretty poor. NWQ guys must be first 23 certainties. Clayton & Casseim are not. Pivac & Co. got it badly wrong.

Not sure it is Scarlets policy to target only NWQs who strengthen our 1st team. Many seem to have been signed with a view to shoring up our 2nd string during international breaks. They wouldn't be certainties for or ECC 23.

Well yes it was a selection gamble that has now put us under pressure, however.....

We should back ourselves to beat Edinburgh at home and to get 5 points from each of the two remaining games.  I would be dissapoinred if we didn't get 14 points from the last 3 games.

Which means for us not to qualify,

1. Edinburgh would need 5 points each from Ulster and Glasgow plus 2 BPs from us, and

2. Benetton would need a point from Leinster away and 5 points each from Munster and Zebra.

Edinburgh won't be wasy, but surely the odds are still in our favour and if we do win the remaining 3 games, we will have momentum going into the playoffs.

Were we ever going to win 4 from 4, and if not, surely the one to let slip was the Cardiff game.
