A belated Athletic match report. Athletic suffer another defeat. 15-10 at half-time was overturned to 20-31.

Another poor start from Athletic but far more hopefull then against Blackwood. Athletic were placed 8th in the Table prior to the game with Glamorgan Wanderers placed directly above. Points from this match would have seen Athletic stay within reach of leaders Maesteg and UWIC and thankfully the Athletic players seemed to realise the importance. However the Wanderers seemed to be living off-side in the game and the Ref seemed not to know of any rule to prevent this. Subsequently Athletic and Wanderers were matched far closer then fans in the Five Fields may have expected.

In the second half, I hate to admit, the Wanderers seemed to be the only team that wanted to score points. Athletic were held to 15 points for most of the second half before scoring an un-converted try.

As mentioned above the game ended 20-31 and Wanderers move up the table at the expense of Carmarthen. I can only hope that the away game to Beddau sees Athletic return to winning ways.
Is this a case of great minds...
Or fools rarely... ?
