On a similar note...... But be warned read the situation very carefully.

Red ball carrier runs along the touchline, he keeps his feet IN PLAY, but in evading a tackle, his shoulder brushes the "FLAG" in the corner.

At 12.30 I have to leave as I am reffing this PM, but I will log back in tonight.... Good Luck

Play on if he's brushed the 'flag' but it would be dead ball if he'd touched the 'flag post'? Thats a wild guess by the way. Wild!

alright, I'll pass for now, have to get ready to go and play a game, and hope this situation doesn't arise.

Will allow others to try.

It can't be a scrum surely. And if he hit the flag it can't be a try.

oh hang on its the flag, not the flag pole.

so therefore it is a try.

Spot on WWD. RED TRY

The "post" to which the flag is attached is out of bounds, but the "Flag" is not an obligatory part of the playing equipment so therefore cannot be used as an out of bounds object ! Should the player brush the flag & make the post move, then a 5 metre line out to Blue would be awarded.
