Totally agree there but one point, we have to keep our discipline Saturday... I think I read something somewhere that Leinster gave away the least number of penalties in the competition so this will be key.

Spot on - they are a very well drilled team. It would be unkind to say that they play by numbers but you get my drift. They are, like Ireland, a side that know what they are going to do off any given situation. Also, like Ireland, they can get exposed in the wide channels which happens to be where we want to attack them. A couple of carries by Barclay, Aaron & Hadleigh up the guts early and then start to explore wider. I can't wait - I'll be exhausted by kick off!!!!!!

Totally agree GPR. We need to target them out wide which plays into our hands well. I do think, however, if out defense is at its highest of standards, we win this game.

Defence is key, and we also have to get the right players out wide as well.
Be careful when you pick up the stick.........IT MAY BE THE WRONG END!!!!!!!!!!

Wonder if Jake Ball might bench? Been back in training a while now? Would be a real fillip!

as excited as I would be by that prospect, I am not sure it will be wise. I would have thought if there was any chance of him playing v Leinster in our biggest game of the decade, he would have been involved at least on the bench last 2 weeks. I think our best chance of seeing Jake Ball again this summer would be play offs. but I am not even convinced at that.

The more I think about it, the more I think Varndell will be involved.

He's been poor but he's a proven, experienced big game player and that's why we brought him in. It's not surprising that he's been poor, thrown in with kids up in Edinburgh. Not the best of attitudes I know but I don't care as long as he delivers the goods against Leinster.

He was also crap in the Munster away game...

Won't be in the 23 and, in my opinion, shouldn't be either.

Plus of course, irrespective of any previous performances surely we need to give him the support that as a Scarlets player he deserves to go into the game with confidence in his abilities and help us win the game.
I am sure he knows that he hasn't done himself justice yet!

I've defended him up to now but after Varndells performance against Edinburgh, I wouldn't be surprised if we never see him in a scarlet jersey again frankly
