Looking for to it, hopefully we can replicate the match of a few weeks ago.
A few senior players missing which may bite us.

I don't think the side shown is much different side to the one that won with a bonus point a couple of weeks back. If anything it's strengthened by Condy and Nathan Edwards (who had some barn-storming carries) starting this time round. Of course Newport could reinforce their side with some Dragons players as they have now completed their 2016/17 season.

Unfortunately couldn't repeat the previous performance and lost 17 - 22 in the final minutes. We were 17-7 up just after half time but faded in the last quarter, with Newport showing more desire and deserving their win. Maybe we adopted the wrong tactics when we were 10 points in the lead and if we had kicked for position and kept them in their own 22 the result would probably have been different.
Having said that it's great to see Llanelli playing in the same expansive style as the Scarlets with some great passing and off-loading moves. Incredibly Taylor Davies is probably the Scarlets 4th choice hooker. How many other regions have such a big athletic player as the 4th choice?

Sounds as if we have another excellent front rower developing. If only we could develop 4,5 & 8 with such regularity!!!!

Agree with the above, my biggest gripe was be that Ioan failed to use the wind to get us out of our 22 late in the game time and time again. Their backs were quite ordinary and wouldn't have posed much threat coming back at us. Instead we tried to run it and ended up conceding in the last couple of minutes in a game I thought we dominated for large parts.

Agree Condy did make a difference although he didn't have as big a game as I had hoped. Missing Adam Powell, Tristan Lloyd, Owain Morgan, Nicky Thomas, Simon Gardiner, Ryan Conbeer, Ioan Nicholas, Billy McBryde for assorted reasons which could have swung it our way. Never mind, roll on September.
