Due to the Cheetahs game on Saturday, the Premiership game versus Swansea RFC has been switched to Wednesday night ( 2nd May) at Parc y Scarlets with a 7.30pm Kick off.

Come and support the local team against our old rivals the Whites.

Admission via the Quinnell Lounge as usual.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused but this move was inevitable with the big Pro14 game listed for that day.

Date for your diaries- Our final game of the season is on Saturday 12th May v Bedwas KO 2.30 pm where we also plan to hold a player 'meet and greet' with Player and Programme Sponsors as well as Kit Sponsors. We do rely on this income ,whether large or small amounts by small businesses and private individuals , and if anyone would like to sponsor a Player , run a Programme advert, or Sponsor a Match please do contact any of the Committee. There are always opportunities to suit all wallet sizes and all contributions are much appreciated!! Wink

Another very entertaining game of rugby in Llanelli with lots of running rugby by our young team on a pitch in perfect condition. Good bonus point win and revenge for our loss earlier in the season. Cross Keys away next Tuesday. KO 7.30pm and then Bedwas at Llanelli on Saturday 12May for final home game. Good to see Wayne Pivac there again tonight

Who did well, and did anyone look ready to step up to regional standard?

Matthew Jenkins is playing well on the wing. Difficult to judge in some ways because the games at the moment have a definite end of feeling to them.

Mathew is although I think he may prefer centre. He is certainly a big powerful runner and I like him on the wing where he is scoring a lot of tries. I think the new coaching team of Paul Fisher and Emyr Philips/Nigel Mills is knitting very well and of course, the latter two are involved with the Under 18's so prudent continuity there.

Cross Keys away on Tuesday will be a test and hopefully we shall have some travelling support up there. The pitch will at least be dry now as it can be boggy in the winter !

A lot of these boys are coming up via the lower leagues and on Permit so still developing and being monitored. They will be stepping up from their usual division and being challenged to step up. Llanelli RFC is not a full 'A' side obviously but a mix of this talent and Scarlets Academy Players.

Thanks.

I've not seen Matthew Jenkins, or maybe not even hear of him before - has he played Wales age grade rugby? As for being a centre playing on the wing - many start out that way, as it's thought that the wing position is 'easier' in some ways... though I'm not entirely convinced by that!

I thought Phil Davies was coach?
