LOL He's off his head! Nowt much in it to be honest, although it is a clear kick\Shin\shunt to the head, so it should really be dealt with never the less.

Rugby is in big trouble with head injuries- it's a threat to our whole sport. A Wasps player Mcintyre has just been yellow-carded for kicking Itoje in the head whilst Itoje was off side and holding onto Mcintyre by the leg.

Both offences have to be a straight red as does the kick on Liam in the WC match against England. Until players do not use their foot/shin anywhere near an opponents head, we will continue to have head injuries that are not necessary.

Can't understand how Joe Marler keeps getting away with such thuggish behaviour over the last few months, its time for questions to be asked to the governing bodies!  Shocked

It was just STUPID and utterly pointless - hardly on the edge of scoring the winning try or making that totally desperate last ditch dodgy tackle - it was just a pathetic nudge to the head. He is not just a fool.. he is a thick fool.

It is a conspiracy against the poor man. People are still after him for when Rob Evans incited him into a forearm to the face, and now he is cited for a French player head butting his shin.

4 week ban. Reduced to 2, with no reason given for the reduction.

The panel "disregarded the player’s recent suspension as it was of an entirely different nature".

The process is completely broken.

I agree. Another ban so soon, maybe it was an entirely different nature, but he still showed a blatant disregard for the ethos and rules of the game.

Bearing in mind that the RFU do not seem to believe in banning internationals, this is a massive punishment.

Neil Back was banned over the summer for pushing a referee (compared with 6 months for Percy Montgomery doing the same to a linesman for the Drags).
