There was an awful lot of whingeing from the Aussie coach Cheika about the interpretation of high tackles in the Wales game. He even admitted that he didn't know the laws.
So - you would think that an intelligent coach would go away, talk to the refs, make sure he understood what was required, and pass on this new knowledge to the players in intensive training sessions. Did any of this happen? Well - in the first half v Uruguay this morning the Aussies gave away 4 penalties for high tackles, and were given 2 yellow cards. In between, the ref had spoken to the Aussie captain to warn him about the likely consequences of continued offending. So - did Cheika learn his lesson? Judge for yourself.
