He is going to be a cracking player. Very excited to see Tomi in action next year, either for the firsts or the u23s.

Haven't seen much of him Sospan just heard good things. Made quite an impression on the 7's circuit I understand.
He's really impressed me so far. Know it is early doors in his career mind. Unfortunately hurt his arm playing for Wales u20s two years early this year which stopped us seeing more of him. Will see a lot of him next year I think, for the u23s and Wales u20s.

Adds more depth and strength to the team, it’s up to the likes of Conbeer and Nicholas to step up to challenge for those places. Also would allow Asquith to be an out-and-out centre, which i think is his best position.

I remember feeling genuine disappointment when he went back to New Zealand, a very tidy player.

Welcome to Fever.
Any offence taken on board is only a literate/cy consequence. Every attempt at humour is just that. No personal insult intended. Standards lowered for trolls.

... and to put that last comment into a little more context, I was expecting a location somewhere around Newport or something along those lines...

Michael Collins would add quality and strength during a period we will be severely depleted.

Its World Cup 2019 September through until December.

We will likely be without the following outside backs:
Halfpenny, Steff Evs, Foxy, Parkes, maybe Fonotia.

This leaves a backline options during that period (before injuries):
15. Clayton Blommetjies
14. Johnny McNicholl
13. Steff Hughes
12. Paul Asquith
11. Ioan Nicholas
10. Dan Jones
9. Hardy / Smith

We may see someone like Tomi Lewis stake a claim to add depth to full back.
we have Baldwin and Conbeer providing wing cover during this time.
We have no centre back up to Asquith and Steff during this period. Unless they see Baldwin as a centre - but then you are taking away one of the wingers...
So Sept - Dec we are going to be thin on the ground and someone like Collins is needed especially for the beginning of 2019/20 season.

Collins has been keen to re-align some of the press commentary...currently contracted through 2019 on his Super XV deal, and actually until 2020 under his ITM contract...he was just stating post that time he had an open mind to move (which includes to England, who he is also qualified to play for).

McNicholl will be out of contract by the start of the World Cup. Not sure about the length of contracts given to Asquith, Steff Hughes and Dan Jones either.
