The Pro14 communications guy, Adam Redmond has tweeted that this WOL article may have been based on out of date information so these may not be the opening games after all.

Hard to predict when the structure is up in the air because of the logistics with the SA clubs. Return to a more traditional home and away format would suit me. With the expanded six team playoffs to keep things more interesting.

Unfortunately impossible to get that many games in with 12 teams. If we did 22 games would need at least 2 more rounds. I always wonder if you just keep it to a league structure and then top 8 play in a super cup at the end, with home advantage to the top 4.
