So the final weekend of the 6 Nations, well for now any way, sees Scotland come down to Cardiff in a match that both sides will be desperate to win. Scotland did well against a poor French team last time out.

What side do you think should be picked? My XV would be:

15 Liam Williams
14 George North
13 Nick Tompkins
12 Hadleigh Parkes
11 Louis Rees-Zammit
10 Dan Biggar
9 Gareth Davies (Will probably be Webb mind)
1 Rhys Carre
2 Ken Owens
3 Will-Griff John
4 Will Rowlands
5 Alun Wyn Jones
6 Ross Morriarty
7 Justin Tipuric
8 Josh Navidi

Carre & Rowlands have both looked good when they've come on for Wales so would like to see them go from the off. I'm very eager to see LRZ in a Wales shirt & I'm thinking that Halfpenny, Shingler & Ball won't be available for the match after picking up injuries.

Surely George North can't still play after being knocked out two games in row?

There must be some regulation to give him a mandated amount of time off after two large blows to the head.

Lets be honest about it we don't have a 23 available that would worry Scotland. Tandy has fixed their glaring habit of giving away soft tries so we are going to have to work very hard to score. Conversely we have become pretty easy to score against. We have the worst lineout & scrum in the tournament - our lineout success is below 80% I believe so the selected front 5's are not exactly covering themselves in glory.

It is a shame that Hill has not been fit. AWJ & Ken are starting to look their age & I sincerely hope that, corona virus or not, both of them along with Hadleigh, Biggar, North & Halfpenny will get a full summer off. In fact if the summer tour was cancelled it would the best thing that could happen for the long term health & wellbeing of the Welsh squad.

Scotland showed that France are being overrated by many - for sure their policy of selecting young guys with the 2023 World Cup foremost in their thoughts will pay dividends down the line but suggesting that we lost to a very good team was way off the mark. We lost because we were bang average just like we were against England. For England not to get a bonus point win and not deny us one says a lot more about them than us.

Make no mistake about it we are going to be given two massive defeats against NZ in the summer & I wouldn't put much money on us beating Japan. The picture will be of a wasted season when hostilities break out next November- what have we learnt/developed for 2023? Tompkins can play at this level; AWJ/Ken & Hadeigh won't make it; we have no idea who our best 9 is. Thats about it.

Lots of love for carre on here guys , I wouldn't object to him getting picked mobile and a ball carrier

Still looks to be carrying a bit of a spare tyre but there is certainly a player in there

Carre & Brown have a huge advantage in that they are big boys who can handle & carry. Look they may not be quite as good as Wyn, Rob or Dillon technique wise but they are hardly smashing it are they? We lack power and that superior power we had over Scotland used to win it for us. That no longer exists, in fact if I was selecting a combined pack from last week's teams it would read as follows :-

1. Sutherland 2. Brown 3. Fagerson 4. Gilchrist 5. AWJ 6. Ritchie 7. Watson 8. Haining.

I think that will sum up our challenge. We have to find more power in that front 5 before we can best utilise our skills elsewhere. Our lineout is screaming out for Shingler or Hill. Before th start of the 6 nations I looked on this as a win banker not anymore.

If he's fit surely you'd have to pick Wyn Jones alongside a rookie tighthead? I wonder if Sam will make an appearance? Be good for his confidence.

Ha! A front row of Wyn, Ken and Samson! Sounds good to me!

Scotland have been very good defensively and conceded hardly any tries. Whereas we have been oh so leaky. Will need to be a lot less cavalier when we have the ball, as I don't think the personnel that has been picked so far, have the skillset to play the loose way Pivac wants.
