Pretty clear that Dan had a difficult night and made a lot of errors. Like Dafen Boy said, of course it wouldn't have changed the result but last night proved that Dan isn't ready to compete with Patch for the starting berth as Patch is another level. Dan has been one of the big positives this year and has shown that he can deliver at this level but against the best opposition he's not quite ready.
One of the reasons that Patchell doesn't get a look in with Wales is because his error count is too high
I still wake up late at night and think of what might have been when tim stimpson hit that jammy penalty1

We have two very good fly halves many other teams would love to have Dan did not have his best game and made errors yes but he was very good against Munster and Glasgow both at this level so yes he is ready. The boys have had tough time last night but will be the better for it as someone said we beat a similar Leinster side at home give the team a break we will learn. We have improved immeasurably from last season we not the finished article by long shot but we are on the up and will be in top four I'm convinced.
She asks why i still can't answer. I guess its in the blood.

He does make errors but it's my belief he would have provided a bit more control last night and used his kicking game to limit the ball in play time and slow the game down. Leinster played at an incredible intensity and pace, way above what Munster and Glasgow offered and even more than the games against Toulon and Saracens at home. The main reason for that like you said was our forwards getting out-muscled and unable to slow the ball down which we're normally quite good at with our back 5. Anyway, I'm very happy with how Dan is going but last night was a step too far for him and the team in general.

Good to hear that Patchell is ahead of schedule regarding his injury.
And we were singing...

Patch could have a run out for the Premiership Select XV in Ealing on Saturday, would be good for him to get some game time before the Pro 12 returns
