Pivac says he is unhappy with the way some players have conducted themselves in signing for other clubs http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/42239027

Lots to chew over for conspiracy theorists.  Which ones were the good players?  Who handled themselves well?

This one will keep us going!

Looking at the positives not the gossip we love, I liked this from the interview ;

"The Kieron Fonotia I know is the Kieron Fonotia that played for the Crusaders (in super rugby) who play the way we play, he's got a skill set," he said.

Kieron Fonotia will do well in this environment, he hasn't done well in the environment he's been in and it's not for me to comment on why but clearly his form prior to coming to Wales is the form that we've looked at.

"We think he'll do really well in this environment so we're really pleased with that signing."

It could just be down to a player being offered £xx by another region/club/province & accepting without going back to the Scarlets & saying "I've been offered this, what can you do?".

I don't get this last bit:

Pivac revealed the Scarlets have already agreed a deal to replace the departing Williams, with an announcement to come.

Is he talking about another player on top of Fonotia?

Owen Williams wouldn’t have been popular then when Cockers came calling with his bag of Leicester cash !

I wondered whether they meant to type Davies (Aled) but typed Williams as in Lloyd coming in...

Aye probably not, I mean in any case is it not common courtesy to give your employer the chance at least to match or better the offer you have from someone else? Obviously that becomes irrelevant if the move is not down to financial reasons...

Yep, probably a typo. Either Aled or... Barclay!!!

No he's talking about a replacement for Aled Davies. Think there's been a misprint
I still wake up late at night and think of what might have been when tim stimpson hit that jammy penalty1

Ah the mystery deepens. So we have more than one departing player who has riled Pivac in some way. It's not Beirne so its down to 2 from Scott, Aled & Barclay. Some things just won't go away.

The key quote is this one:

"We're disappointed to lose any player," Pivac said. "Some of them are really good players."

Pivac added that the manner of some of the exits has rankled with him.

"At the end of the day it's a professional environment we just encourage the players to get all the information they need and to make an informed decision," he said.

"Some of them are really really good and they give their club the last right of reply.

"Some do their own thing so [we are] very pleased with a couple of the players who went through a thorough process with us and we are disappointed with a couple of others."

As some of you have said, it seems that a couple of players didn't come back to the Scarlets to give them a 'final right of reply', maybe with a better offer... but then, maybe they had other reasons to want to leave, perhaps to do with their place in the pecking order. Or maybe they didn't tell Pivac they were going before it got leaked to the press, which would be discourteous. Who knows?

It's a pity, because in general the Scarlets give the appearance of being a very happy group. I do hope all of them (including the departing players) still give 100% for the rest of the season - they are pros, and we'll certainly expect it of them.

I share no-one's ideas. I have my own.
