1) Ken 2) Jonny 3) Kieran Cannot see passed Ken, full on commitment every time, don't think he's exclusively to blame for lineout woes and he handled all the nonsense with the WRU, whilst maintaining the same impressive effort with Wales in the 6N. Great advert for the Scarlets.

It has to be Ken... not only does he lead from the front, but he also plays for most of the 80 min more often than not - our props always get a rest 10-20min before Ken. OK, our lineout has not been great, but that's not just his fault, for sure.
Honourable mentions for Johnny Mac (pick of the backs), Hardy (has made great strides), Macleod (continues to impress) and Dan Davis. Some reasons for optimism are also to be found in Halfpenny looking as if he's back to his best, Patch is on the mend (!) and Cassiem has played a lot better in recent weeks. Now we need Blade, also, to overcome his injury problems by next season. Here's hoping...

I’d agree Ken is a great representation of the club and shirt, epitomised by playing 8 a couple of times, and being head and shoulders Wales’ no 1 hooker.
But based purely on this season and for the Scarlets only, Ken’s started roughly half the games, played the full 80 in a couple. J Mac in comparison, has missed 1 game (started 24/25), played the full 80 in all but 3, scored 13 tries in all competitions, and played 11, 14 and 15 roughly the same amount of times during the season. Thats why he stands out for me. Great value. It depends how we define player of the season in our heads, maybe I’m thinking more MVP perhaps. |

Has to be Ken Owens. Think Fonotia has been a good signing, also think when fit Josh Macleod has been impressive.

The Welsh lineout was equally as shambolic in the 6 nations...
