With regards the Ulster fixture they lost four frontline players to serious injury last weekend, they include McGrath and Wallaby lock Sam Carter. They face a formidable Clermont team in Belfast on Friday, so aftera bruising game against Bath there selection will be interesting, as after our game they have Harlequins in European Double Header then the Irish Derbies . That is a brutal run of games .

The point is that the PRB now make the decisions, so the Regions themselves decided to go ahead with this game. The only excuse here may be that this game was agreed some years ago as a farewell to Gatland.

Ridiculous that 5 of our best front row players have been selected and prevented from playing in an important match. Surely he could have given a chance to some aspiring front rowers from the other regions or beyond.

Pivac could only choose Welsh based players as this game is outside the international window.

The game is a money-spinner to substitute for the missing AIs.

The problem here is that we don't have more diverse sources of income for Welsh rugby.

There were two warm up games against Ireland and England pre World Cup .

Organise concerts in November and December ,they would bring in huge funds for the Union .Why don't the WRU think of Regions its supporters and the players .

Read somewhere that they have lost the Joshua fights. Are there any stadium bands on tour at the moment?

There is probably more room to make money out of the stadium.

And isn’t the WRU looking to make money from hotels as well?

But the WRU aren’t looking to help the regions themselves become more profitable.

If each region doubled their gate, if the TV money was better, if every kid in Wales was getting a regional replica kit for Christmas... then this game would not have to happen.

So, having games like this is part of the reason that we have to have games like this. It’s a vicious cycle.

They'd make a killing if they got My Chemical Romance on their reunion tour.

Ok a rethink on the team with developments. Below assumes Ratuva unavailable & no releases from the Welsh squad.

15. Asquith 14. Baldwin 13. Fonotia 12. Steff 11. Tom James 10. Dan 9. Hardy.
1. Price 2. Jones 3. Werner 4. Rawlins 5. Kruger 6. Casseim 7. Josh 8. Blade.

16. Daf 17. Dylan 18. Sebastian 19. Sam 20. Kennedy 21. Blacker 22. Lamb 23. Morgan Williams.

Bearing in mind that we have 12 in the Welsh squad, 3 injured and Tex not available that is not too shabby a team. I expect nothing from this game on Friday; the ultimate outcome will be decided by Ulster's selection now that they are truly in the running in Europe & needing to get 9/10 points from their two matches against Harlequins &, of course, the weather. A howler with wind & rain would even this game up & play to our strengths which are 1-8.

Any release from Wales squad - Ryan/Steff straight back to start in Ulster.

In order to show some sympathy for the Regions, Pivac needs to name his side very early this week.

Looking at the fixtures, I don't think too much damage will occur this weekend to our league season.

Munster v Edinburgh, can only see Edin getting a LBP.

Benetton v Blues, Benetton will be fully loaded and Blues will be missing players, so I see Benetton getting 5pts and nowt for Blues.

The other fixture is Connacht v Kings. That will only go one way. Call ups will not affect that one.

So after the weekend I predict,

Munster      28/29
Connacht    23/24
Scarlets      21/22
Edinburgh   19/20

There's always someone on tour, whether principality stadium get involved with booking agents for these artists is another thing completely. They don't seem to go for the obvious though, beyonce, Pink, One Direction and Ed Sheeran being the last few they've had.
Whether someone else has taken on that job at the stadium as Ramstein are booked in for the summer!! Completely away from the style of the last few.

But Bruce Springsteen is rumoured to be coming to the UK "soon".

Paul McCartney is doing Glasto so is on the road in the summer.

Motley Crue have announced a reunion - they may make a UK tour next year.

Iron Maiden are in Download festival - so again on the road in the summer - Bruce is a regular in Fuel Rock Club Cardiff when he lands his plane in Cardiff airport.

KISS another band in Download are on a final tour. this festival show is at the end so they have missed out on KISS perhaps.

Aerosmith are rumoured for Glasto.

so there's always plenty in the country that could make it every year.
Foo Fighters last year had a stadium tour...not in Wales...Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy touring together again, stadium tour, not in Wales.
so not sure why they keep missing them.

They can even create a day festival of their own with a Welsh theme.
I am sure a gig of Manics, Super Furries, Stereophonics, Catfish & the bottlemen, Gwenno, Cate Le Bon etc as well as some of the current local scene, WAGER, THiS, Holding Absence, Raiders etc would get a fair crowd.

To be frank, I have no issue with the game Friday as long as the morons that write for the media make sure their reports reflect our situation and our massive support for team Wales. Sadly they are likely to ignore the facts and paste another doom and gloom status update on the regions.
