I am not expecting many changes to the 23 from last week in all honesty. We need to replace Jonny at 15 and much will depend on whether Sam and Rawlins are fit.

So the side selected will look something like:-

15. AOB 14. Ryan 13. Steff Hughes (c) 12. Asquith 11. Steff 10. Dan 9. Blacker
1. Rob 2. Taylor 3. Javan 4. Sam 5. Rawlins/Morgan Jones 6. Kennedy 7. Jac 8. Sione

16. Daf/Marc/Booth 17. Price 18. Werner 19. Morgan/Drake 20. Casseim 21. Homer 22. Costellow 23. Tyler.

Again for me I would swap Hughes and Tyler & I would give some consideration to Tom Rogers or Prydie at 15.

Prydie to start at 15 for me .

I think it will be a very similar squad to last week, which given the international call ups is not to bad, but a strong and in form Ulster at Kingspan will be one heck of a challenge.

We need to replace Johnny Macs pace at 15, whats the news on Dan Jones, is he fit and available? Hobbled off, foot injury? If so, maybe Angus to 15, Sam at 10?

15 AOB 14 Ryan 13 Steff Hughes (c) 12 Asquith 11 Steff 10 Costellow 9 Blacker
1 Rob 2 Taylor 3 Javan 4 Sam 5 Jones 6 Kennedy 7 Jac 8 Sione

16 Booth 17 Price 18 Werner 19 Drake 20 Casseim 21 Homer 22 Rogers 23 Tyler.

Prydie is a legitimate fullback, big good at kicking and good in the air. Why do we insist on Angus there he said when he wants to play fly half, he cuts a good line with his running and can kick but lacks that aerial presence.

Agree completely. Angus is a very good player but don’t see him as a full back. If we have other options there, let’s play them and keep Angus for fly half.

I'm not sure if Dan is fit but I would always pick him for this sort of fixture away from home.
Other than that, and any other knocks or players coming back, I would think Prydie to step in for McNichol at 15 and AOB to cover 10/15 off the bench.

Always believed any good 10 can slot in at full-back,the only area of concern being the high-ball,Angus no exception, and I hope they don't manage to target him in that area.

Bench is :

16. Daf 17. Price 18. Werner 19. Jac Price 20. Casseim 21. Homer 22. Costellow 23. Tyler.

Note Morgan Jones in isolation due to track and trace contact.

My concern is there is no genuine cover for a very light back three

What’s the odds on our full front row being replaced around the 50 minute mark and Tyler coming on for Asquith around 10 minutes later?!!

The substitutions seem planned before ko, personally the likes of Asquith, Rob and Javan should be going the distance .

You never get props going the distance in professional rugby. It would be almost irresponsible to keep them on for 80 minutes.

Ulster team :-

Ulster: Michael Lowry; Matt Faddes, Luke Marshall, Stewart Moore, Rob Lyttle; Bill Johnston, John Cooney; Eric O'Sullivan, John Andrew, Marty Moore; Alan O'Connor (capt), Kieran Treadwell; Matty Rea, Sean Reidy, Marcell Coetzee.

Replacements: Adam McBurney, Kyle McCall, Tom O'Toole, Dave O'Connor, Jordi Murphy, Alby Mathewson, Ian Madigan, Craig Gilroy.

That is a very strong team with good bench & plenty of bench experience with Murphy, Mathewson, Madigan & Gilroy all internationals. Long night ahead methinks.

Schoeman plays 70 minutes odd every week! there is little point in subbing after 53 minutes of last week, if there still going strong in tight and loose. If there flagging its different .

Javan was exceptional,I thought, when he had to return for Werner's yellow card the other day.

Again a Delaney team that makes no sense

Where’s Prydie or Rogers, surely they are a better option than Angus out of position at 15 ?

For me Morgan Jones and Jac Price are our future, why are they not playing ?

Is Dan Davies fit ?

I’m still not seeing that Kalamafoni offers anything, to me he plays like Cassiem if Cassiem was drunk, overweight and 55years old

Kalamafoni is one of the best forwards in the league so far...

Is Morgan Jones injured?

That is a very strong Ulster squad.

You can tell results and style are causes for concern on here when we have outbreaks of taking things personally and keyboards go into overdrive.

Here’s hoping a hugely unexpected away win in the last Sunday game brings peace and happiness, as well as the league points our way.

That is very evident LOLLOL. Just is it a case of he looks very unfit and has modest fitness, or looks moderately fit and has high fitness levels. I cant quite workout why he cant shift the lard though. Regardless, he has developed over the years into a decent pro prop. I hope he can continue his ascent for the next few years still.

Paying a price for such a high proportion of Scarlets in the squad I guess.

Jonny popped a rib cartilage, which apparently he did in the build up to the game and then did it again in the game, much worse than the first time I suspect.

Stitches will likely keep Sanjay out of the England game, just because of where it is ( mouth).

When I read a player of Foxy's status is working hard to be fit, it's a signal to me that he isn't going to be. I just hope he's able to be fit for selection for our Euro games.

We know Ken and Shings will likely miss those games.

It's Wales season.

Look no further than Mako Vunipola. Javan is doing well. For a big guy he has some pace and his carrying keeps improving. He is still young for a prop and he has a good coach who will teach him how he gets to the next level. For me a valuable squad member who, on merit, earns a place in  our first choice 23.
