Just got back to Wales and had ordered the away tops and some leisure gear before I got here..

The leisure gear is decent construction and hits all the required make up and aesthetics. Pleased with them. Not cheap, but neither is the fabric, work content and execution.

The replica top is so-so make up and may be the price to pay for getting the product out way early and way earlier than the competition...first mover advantage is massive in this sort of product.

Love the sideseam inserts with all the regional teams printed on it...and the overal design is easy on the eye and quite clear why it's liked ' on display' by so many.

Made in the EU, probably Italy, suggests better quality make up. Unfortunately the opposite is generally true. Italian textile companies are superb at flair and design, but bang average at execution.

Poorly cut buttonholes have caused snagging between the buttonholes and being a printed polyester the white underside shows through on the snag run. Same on the box end of the placket, a repair and has turned the reverse side to show through.
Not sure why the replica tops need the satellite transmitter pouch in the back neck ( not cheap to insert) and why print all the sponsors and logos except for Macron and the Scarlets badge..which are embroidered....the backing on the inside of the embroidery is coarse and will irritate wearers.
Collar is a plain black cotton/poly and not a great match to the body shade, it's notoriously difficult to attach a rigid cotton/poly to a stretch polyester, pucker is inevitable.

Generally the workmanship is not what it might be.
Wash Care instructions need to be followed closely.

Here you go Speedy..knock yourself out man.

Good to get constructive critique, unless Speedy's hacked Will's account, acquired top level knowledge of garments and reined in his natural instincts.
Any offence taken on board is only a literate/cy consequence. Every attempt at humour is just that. No personal insult intended. Standards lowered for trolls.

Think the GPS tracker pocket is to help return fans lost late at night be returned to base.

Thanks for that Will, good to have a trade view as well as a "potential customer" one.

In summary, the online photos i saw attracted me to the anthracite one, on seeing it close up, i walked away, my adidas looks better, newer, and more sturdy. Its 30 odd years old.

Oh and for the record, why have macron been allowed to totally destroy our shop?

There is nothing there now.

No pictures of players, memorabilia, tv or music in backround. They have totally ripped the soul out of it.

halfpenny and a championship 2 steps forward.

Macron, a massive step backwards. Ashamed our club has cheapened itself by association.

Who is accountable?

Its not a Scarlets shop anymore, its just a macron outlet for their Scarlets gear.

iirc, the gold badge was to be discussed last week. Others will know more on that.

Finally we have a scarlet jacket. They look like there just a mac material but they're actually a bit more substantial with a fleece like lining. A bit steep at £42.50 but bought one on Friday and I'm very happy with it. Glad to have a matchday jacket that's Scarlet and it should be able to handle most of the Welsh winter nights.

Good to know.

I liked the look of this and wanted to see before deciding.

Cheers 🍻

I bought one for my 5 yr old boy and it's got the gps pouch, just in case I have a few too many and lose him in the barn I suppose.

The player jerseys look much better quality, not sure whether there's any intention to sell them though, if they do and they're not too huggy on the belly I might be tempted to get one.

There's a decent leisure range though and the t-shirts and zip tops the players have been wearing recently are nice, when they're available in the shop I'll take a look.

Macron are definitely a step up from Kooga, both in terms of choice, design and eagerness to keep the customers happy but plenty of room for improvement. Adidas have shown that big names don't always deliver this season, everything with that new collar is awful.
