If the article is correct that is shocking! I think trust of Roger has now gone and time to look at a new leader for the WRU. So many well known clubs struggling with infrastructure investment ,why this club? Has to be clarified about his involvement

Brilliant. I wonder how Cefn Cribwr RFC voted when given a chance to call an EGM?

I'm pretty sure that if you look into it, Roger will have no official influence over the distribution of MSTC funds, likewise I would imagine you'd find that the position of President of Cefn Cribwr is purely honorary etc,and that he had no part in the application for the grant.
I also have no doubt that he would have excused himself from any part of the loan application to avoid a conflict of interest, and that the WRU can safely say that he was no part of the decision making process. On the other hand, what's that saying again? If it looks like a duck...... Anyone else hear quacking? |

disgusting. if the article is correct, shouldnt there be some kind of independent investigation into the allocation of the funding for the new club house. If found guilty of some kind of unethical mis-use of funding pots then i would expect Roger Lewis to step down from his post.

Gatland went along to the official start of the work too, nice to have contacts.
Roger's completely out of control and his dominance over the rest of them should be a source of utter embarrrassment for them and the fact that an EGM has been called should make them wake up and realise what they've let happen.
Roger will clearly be the victim now, everyone picking on the poor man who just wants to do the best for Welsh rugby, just hope that everyone remembers what he's really like with his comments like 'the regions will cease to exist' and the way he peddled his cause through the media when it suited him.
Not sure how accurate this is but when discussing the WRU with a guy in work with me he was saying that the WRU went along to some form of Welsh touch rugby association last year saying they were looking to help them develop and ended up just nicking their ideas to go and set up their own.
The WRU is rotten to the core, time to start again.

And surely the press should be all over this.......whatever happened to the Gentlemen brigade and a simple principle of honour. Disgraceful. |

How many times has the non story of the Council's involvement in Parc Y Scarlets been dragged out and shown on national television and at strategic times as well to make regional rugby look bad.
Lewis's hold on the media, he being a former head of ITV is perhaps the biggest disgrace of all. Would love him to come unstuck. The whole thing stinks. |

The media in general are quite pathetic. They claim that they are investigative journalists who will stop at nothing to expose corruption, but it seems that this doesn't apply to those in authority or power.
