Players are actually currently stranded at Bristol airport, it looks like a challenge to get there in time for the game, people are working on it (there's a rule that they must arrive the day before I think).

Anyway, good side, strong bench.

if they get a charter there's any number of fans also stranded who would be happy to hitch a lift.  problem is air traffic control strike in Itlay so  can;t see how anything will get through today.

Nice to have you back Wil, great info as usual. Hope this delay doesn’t upset the match day planning. Anything other than 4 points minimum is game over for us. Happy with the XV.

Only one team plays in red. (Sorry, Scarlet)

Still don't get this thing of playing Beirne at 6. As an emergency/stop gap, yes. But he's our best lock and we have Barclay, an international 6 and Turnbull a guy who needs first team minutes and developing on the bench.

Anybody know what's up with Elias, Shingler and Rawlins? If Rawlins isn't injured that puts him as our 5th choice lock and 4th or 5th choice 6 by my reckoning, in which case I wouldn't blame him if he went to the Blues. Personally I thought Rawlins and Beirne were a fantastic paring towards the end of last season. Very well balanced unit.

Rawlings was injured in training in the week and Shingler and Barclay rested after AI's with 3 games in 11 days coming up around christmas then back to back euro games. Pivac managing squad with these games coming up in mind.
That 23 should be good enough to get a result out there, theres no way we will be as complacent in defence or attack this week.

I wasn't surprised to see Dan in there over Patch anyway and I think Ken was lucky to keep his place after last week's display too. Hadleigh rightly on the bench with Scott back in.

No Barbieri for Treviso - that's a big one as he was awesome last week.

If we are to have any chance of a quarter final appearance then 5 points is a must, although that will be tough / impossible if we play like last week
