After last week’s solid performance I’m looking forward to seeing how we do against an under strength Glasgow side. Was excited to see Conbeer on the 4G but bringing in a bit of power to the backline with TJ won’t hurt.

I think we can get 4 points.

Agreed, looking forward to seeing Tom in action.

I think with that back line & with the forecast (cloudy no rain) I think we could really sneak 5 points here.

Really good side and happy to see James in starting xv. Conbeer did really well but he received some knocks, surely we will see him against Zebre next week

Disappointed not to see Kruger feature again this week - obviously some fitness issues. Hard to sum up the Glasgow side - their pack looks stronger than ours with an excellent back row; backs evenly matched I would say. Happy with 1 point here anything else real bonus.

Their backs are dangerous still with Jackson, Steyn and Jones.

its whether they get the ball from the 9 10 12 channel for them to utilise 13 14 and 15 is their issues I would imagine

i wouldn't agree with backs being the same. Ours should be far superior to theirs. Hardy Asquith, steff, tj and jmac are far and away upto 1st 15 level whereas theirs aren't

Tom James is an interesting selection. He certainly was once a handful with his size and speed, but whether he still has the pace and power to trouble Glasgow we shall have to wait to find out. Ioan Nicholas may have been a safer bet to replace Conbeer.

Thanks - I wondered why he wasn't in the squad, too.

I'm pretty happy with that selection - it seems to me that it pays to have consistency in the team early season, to allow the players to gel in match situations, so the very small number of changes is all good as far as I'm concerned.

The Scarlets team looks strong - can't comment on Glasgow, as I don't know their back-up players well enough to judge their strength. They're at home, so we'll have to go out to win it - they won't lie down, that's for sure.

As for Tom James - a brave man, and a strong one - no idea if his speed has dropped off, but he's always going to be powerful and hard to stop. Good luck, Tom.
