can anyone clarify what is wrong with Steff he does not appear on the injured list? If fit I would have started Steff what he lacks in defence he makes up for in attack
west is best.

It is certainly a mystery if he isn't injured. He seems to have fallen totally out of favour with Pivac this season.

The same applies to Patch, to a lesser extent. He is now behind Dan in the pecking order, apparently. Heard that management were concerned about Patch’s concussion issues. If this is true, then don’t play him at all. Putting him on the bench isn’t keeping him safe.
Only one team plays in red. (Sorry, Scarlet)

He wouldn’t be in the squad if he was still showing symptoms.

Perhaps the management are concerned that Patchell might’ve lost confidence in his tackling since he has returned. He has missed a lot of tackles this season, due to poor technique and a lack of aggression.

What you said makes sense, however a player did tell me of the managements concerns over Patchell’s long term health.

Pivac obviously has a problem with him.  Then again his team selections begged belief most games lately.

WRT Steff - clearly shown on TV last night in the tunnel encouraging the players as they ran out onto the field - so whatever the reasons for his non-selection, he wasn't sulking - good for him.

Hope he gets far more starts next season.

Pivac has fallen out of favour with the fans this season.

He has ruined any legacy he built up. Yes it was tough with injuries but we have clearly been lacking any significant coaching all season. His head has been in the media with Wales all season. Steph is twice the player Ioan Nicholas will ever be. Its been criminal to watch him being left out.

I like you Speedy find the situation with Steff difficult to understand. If there were off field issues involved then I doubt he would be selected by Gatland so why Pivac's reluctance to select someone who was our most dangerous attacking weapon last season. His performance a few weeks ago against Edinburgh showed his attacking prowess was still to the fore and defensively, one lapse apart when he got stepped by Darcy Graham, he was solid. He won't be the first or indeed the last to be stepped by that lad.

Steff is the biggest concern for me but there have been a number of selections made which defy logic in many cases. Selecting Hadleigh early season ahead of others who were playing way better; picking Hadleigh at 10; selecting Boyde at 6/8 when physically he was being totally outgunned. This squad now needs a new coaching team with a fresh slate for everyone.

He's also flourished as a player during  Pivacs and Stephens  time here.

Very disappointed in pivacs selections this season. He doesn’t seem to understand that our glory year or so was down in large part to individual brilliance from a few players in our side. Start removing any of them and our chances plummet.
