Final score 31-38, with Kings scoring under the posts in the final play, despite being down to 14.

They had 3 yellows during the match.

They did well.

Kings had 5 yellow cards, Leinster were allowed off there feet for full 80 minutes at the breakdown yet not penalised once Lloyd Linton man in the middle ..
Thanks Mark, for the correction on card numbers.

I’d read the twitter feed and thought they’d had more than three.

Good to be put right.

Being pedantic, there were actually 4 yellows, 3 in the first half. Kings discipline is pretty shocking.

Hah!

It didn't look as if Melon wanted to take the kick, TBF, but he had his arm twisted by team-mates. Pity he missed... it would have been a nice way for him to finish.

All things considered they did pretty well to get within 7. Puts our display out there into a little better perspective. Then we come up with the Edinburgh performance!!!!!Confused

A word on the England New Zealand game. For many years now we at the Scarlets have complained about how poor our kick chase has been. In the above game Ben Youngs gave a masterclass in attacking, aggressive box kicking. It really is a huge weapon when used accurately. If Cawdor could add that strength to his game he would immediately propel himself to being the biggest challenger to Murray for the Lions shirt. Massive stakes.

Sorry GPR, he also needs to be improve his service, not as consistent as it should be.

Possibly the best attacking and running no 9 in world rugby, and he is being pressurised by Tom Williams, and that really should not be the case with all his ability.

Be careful when you pick up the stick.........IT MAY BE THE WRONG END!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I stand corrected. There is definitely something about young Tomos - bit of a whirlwind about him!!!!!

Cawdor seems to wait a split second after the ball becomes available to check if the intended receiver is where he expects him to be, before then firing it away.  Tomos appears to do this while waiting for the ball and so his movement at times appears more fluid. One would think that both Cawdor's  minor "flaws"- the "wait" and his box kicking could be cured by coaching and practise, but his pace and eye for a gap cannot be coached and are potential match winners.

See that Samson has been released back to the Scarlets. Thats one player at least who won't get beaten up. Hopefully his hamstring issue will clear up in time for Glasgow away & the Ulster double header in Europe. As things stand only Ken of our forwards has had a busy Autumn. In addition Blade has also been released to follow his return to play protocols. Rhys apparently is available for selection for Saturday - good news indeed.

Blade has been with the Scarlets since the Edinburgh match which is good.

Rhys was available for selection for the Australia match but was over looked.

The way I understood it - Rhys had passed the protocols, but the coaches preferred not to consider him to give him more time. I could be wrong, though.

Thing is our forwards dont give our scrum half’s easy ball. By the time they go searching for it they have to double check to see where the receivers are thus the delay we see so often with us when you compare a strong clearing out team.

The Dragons have sacked their defence coach, Hendre Marnitz. Bernard Jackman will take responsibility for the defence now.

Is that to accelerate the speed it all goes downhill?
Any offence taken on board is only a literate/cy consequence. Every attempt at humour is just that. No personal insult intended. Standards lowered for trolls.
