No doubt there are issues not based on affordability of the rent payment. The worst aspect to me for Welsh Rugby is their internal squabble being aired in public. Not good for anyone in Welsh Rugby to see what is clearly bitterness played out in public imo.

the blues are taking the mick. Signing players like amos and adams but not paid their rent for a year.No
Wonder their landlords are annoyed. The day earlier spouting off how they are a Global brand who every one should be envious of. Yet today we read they can’t  afford their rent priceles

Yes it doesn't smell right. I appreciate that there has been a long running battle between the Blues & the Athletic club landlords but this doesn't seem the way to carry on business. Their new Chairman Alun Jones has correctly identified that they have totally underperformed when compared to other capital city sides.

They do indeed have a proud history but that gets you jacksh-- if you don't remain competitive. The best team in Europe don't have anything like the Blues history but do they care? History & tradition are of course very important but they will only get you so far.

I've heard rumblings about a potential short term deal which would take Bastereau to Munster for the early part of the 2019/20 season until his contract starts in the USA.

DRAGONS

Dean Ryan has appointed former Edinburgh & Scotland U20s defence coach Simon Cross at the Dragons - he will take on the same role at Rodney Parade, which has been unfilled since last November.

They have also signed Luke Baldwin on a year's loan from Worcester - he will contest the 9 jersey with Rhodri Williams, Tavis Knoyle, Dafydd Buckland and Dan Babos. Dragons recently announced that Nic Cudd and Brok Harris have also re-signed.

The Worcesterfication of Newport... Ermm

Totally agree. Plenty of players of this ability in Wales. Why would he want this guy when he has 4 options already with no Japan or 6 nations involvement. Absolute nonsense.

The WRU should also step in and control the rent situation at the Blues. I don't know the full details but to use non payment as a means to negotiate is not acceptable. Either the Blues signed a deal and are in breach or they aren't. Alun Jones, a local solicitor, should be as aware as anyone. If they are guilty then they should be given a final warning and any further breach should result in their expulsion from the pro 14.

He will bring vast experience for sure, but at 35 and after a couple of seasons in France where he only played a handful of games I wonder if its the Ulster version of Pienaar we all recall ( used to torment us every season).

Noticed that Kieran Williams has been given a 2 year deal with the Ospreys. I was extremely impressed by this young man when he played at 12 for Wales 20's a couple of years ago. More than a hint of Scott Gibbs in his play. Hopefully he will stay injury free and show what he is capable of.

Interesting comparison with our centre resources during the World Cup. If Wales take 3 centres then the Ospreys will have either Scott or Watkins, Cory Allen, Kieran & Wheeler the current 20's star. That is a much stronger line up than we will have. Time is defo right for Corey Baldwin to step up and make his case.
