Currie Cup teams joining the Anglo-Welsh seems to be the latest suggestion

Sounds like a desperate idea dreamt up by someone involved with a failed structure in South Africa that's trying to justify their job. The issues you hilight jus add to the argument not to take it seriously |

Split that into two tiers with two relegations and promotions each year. Then maybe a third tier with English Championship teams, Regional A teams, and Irish A teams? Edited by SospanMawr - 21 April 2017 at 12:53pm |

And what happens during the 6 nations? We're in an International window Saf isn't. Indeed what happens with the rugby seasons? Theirs is different to ours and for a reason too- it would be hot in Bloemfontein in January- not so bad in Port Elizabeth. Sounds a great idea but there are alot of details to be ironed out. |

Think one long haul flight to encompass both away fixtures would be very sensible on lots of levels, not just financially. The Saffers could do similarly for their away matches.
It'd mean the PRO12 would have to give all clubs equal and better balance of home and away scheduling than they've been capable of/willing to do so far. Let's see what happens. |

I think that sentence sums up the Pro12 for me. It truly is the AirB&B of rugby leagues. |

Not holding my breath. RSA Teams flying back and forth to Europe every couple of weeks? Or would they based in Europe?
And this pearler "would enable most, if not all games to be played outside the Test window" They can't manage to get the current schedule outside the test windows let alone adding extra games. |

One idea may be for say the O's and Scarlets to head to SA en masse and stay there for 2 weeks play both matches then leg it home. There may be a cost saving with block bookings of around 100 people. I'm sure that there are plenty of exiles out there to offer some support for the away teams.
